An embodiment of the present invention is an antiglare film which includes an antiglare layer having particles A, particles B, and a binder matrix on a transparent substrate. A difference in refractive index between the particles A and the binder matrix (|n&#x2212;n|) is 0.060 or less. A difference in refractive index between the particles B and the binder matrix (|n&#x2212;n|) is in the 0.080-0.300 range. An average diameter (unit: &#x3bc;m) of the particles B (r) is in the 0.5-5.0 &#x3bc;m range. The product value |n&#x2212;n|wH, which is obtained by multiplying a difference in refractive index between said particles B and said binder matrix (|n&#x2212;n|) by a content (part by weight) of said particles B as against 100 parts by weight of said binder matrix (w) and an average thickness (unit: &#x3bc;m) of said antiglare layer (H) is in the 10.0-15.0 range.

Method and apparatus for enabling fluid material contained in a package to be examined in a non-destructive manner to see whether there is any unacceptable alteration in the material. This examination is accomplished by shaking the package so that the package and its contents vibrate at the natural resonance frequency thereof, exposing the package to an irradiation of ultra-soft X-ray beams while the package is vibrating at the resonant frequency, either immediately after the package contents begin to be agitated by shaking or immediately after the vibration is stopped and it ceases to be agitated, detecting the strength of X-rays transmitted through the package and its contents, coverting the transmitted X-rays to a corresponding analog signal, and determining any alteration by comparing the analog signal against the refernece signal previously obtained in the same manner as described above for a like package with unaltered contents.

In a display managing arrangement comprising a display memory and a display memory controller for accessing the display memory to display a selected area of an image datum with the selected area scrolled on the image datum or otherwise subjected to management, the display memory is divided into memory blocks arranged as an N-row M-column matrix. Each memory block is for use as a unit of the management and is divisible into memory elements arranged as an n-row m-column matrix. When the memory elements of the display memory are assigned with serial memory element addresses along each row of the memory elements of the display memory and then along a next column-wise downward row, the memory controller may access the memory elements of selected ones of the memory blocks in block parallel by specifying the serial memory element addresses for each memory block on the one hand from a least memory element address in the memory block under consideration consecutively to the serial memory element address which is equal to the least memory element address plus the number m less one. On the other hand, the serial memory element addresses are specified discretely along one of the m columns by adding products of a step value mM and multipliers variable from zero to the number n less one to one of the serial memory element addresses that is congruent with the least memory element address modulo the step value. On storing the selected area in the display memory, the image datum may likewise be accessed.
