A microscope system includes: a stage on which a specimen is placed; a light emitting LED configured to emit illumination light for illuminating the specimen; an optical system configured to condense the illumination light emitted by the light emitting LED and irradiate the specimen with the illumination light; an input unit configured to receive an input of a light control signal that adjusts a light amount of the light emitting LED; and a control unit configured to control, when the light control signal is input from the input unit, the light amount of the light emitting LED to become a light amount according to the light control signal by delaying the light control signal by a predetermined time from timing when the light control signal is input.

Microscope system

When the speed of a vehicle is not lower than a prescribed value, an operation disabling signal is output from an operation disabling controller to a car navigation system, and the operation of the car navigation system is disabled. However, even when the operation disabling signal is being output to the car navigation system, in the cases where assistance control for a driving operation is being performed on the basis of a risk determination result, and where a prediction result of the risk to the vehicle is that the risk to the vehicle does not increase before a prescribed time elapses, then an operation enabling signal is output from the operation enabling controller to the car navigation system, whereby it becomes possible to operate the car navigation system.

An equipment operation controller implements control to disable an operation of equipment that is operated inside a vehicle cabin and not perform functions of the equipment according to such the operation, when a vehicle is traveling at or above a prescribed speed. A microscope system includes: an illumination unit; a light control direction unit specifying quantity of light output from the illumination unit; a storage unit storing voltage-related information in which a direction value specified by the light control direction unit and a voltage value to be applied to the illumination unit are associated with each other and are set, the direction value being in an entire range that can be specified by the light control direction unit under each observation condition, the voltage value corresponding to the direction value; a light quantity control unit controlling the quantity of the emitted light; and a control unit acquiring the voltage value corresponding to the specified direction value from the voltage-related information corresponding to the observation condition, and allowing the light quantity control unit to control the quantity of light based on the acquired voltage value.

Microscope system and method for controlling it

A microscope includes a microscope main unit including a stage on which a specimen is to be placed; and a light source provided on the microscope main unit and emitting illumination light for illuminating the specimen. The microscope also includes a main power supply operable to be turned on and off; a sensor that senses the presence or absence of a subject in a front or side area of the microscope main unit; a determining unit that determines based on a result of the sensing whether the subject moves; and a control unit that turns on the light source when the main power supply is turned on, maintains the light source in an ON state when the determining unit determines that the subject moves, and turns off the light source when the determining unit determines that the subject does not move and a predetermined period of time passes.

A tissue culture microscope apparatus includes a culture unit that includes a chamber in which a specimen is put, and maintains the chamber at a predetermined temperature to culture the specimen; an observation unit that forms an observation image of the specimen put in the chamber; and a liquid supply unit that stores a liquid in a protrusion portion penetrating into a wall of the chamber and protruding to an inside of the chamber, matches a temperature of the liquid with the temperature of the chamber, and injects the liquid from the protrusion portion to the specimen.

A culture observation apparatus, which is used for observing a cultured cell while culturing the cell, includes a culture device that cultures the cultured cell, and a microscope used for observing the cultured cell. The culture device includes a first space that is controlled to an environment suitable for culture of the cell, and a second space that is controlled to a lower humidity condition in comparison with the first space. The microscope includes an objective optical unit including an objective lens; the objective optical unit having at least one portion located in the second space, and another portion extending into the first space through an opening formed in a partition wall that separates the first space and the second space, with a gap between the objective optical unit and the partition wall being sealed by a sealing member, and the objective lens includes a plurality of lens groups, with mutual spaces among the lens groups vented to the second space.

Culture observation apparatus

An observation apparatus includes an incident-light illumination optical system, a transmitting illumination optical system, an imaging unit, an input device, a storage unit, an imaging controller, a microscope controller, an imaging information management unit. The imaging information management unit compares an area position, of an imaging area of the imaging unit, indicated by position information input from the input device with an area position stored in the storage unit to determine whether the area position indicated by the position information is stored in the storage unit. When the area position is not stored in the storage unit, the imaging controller controls the imaging unit to image the specimen and to generate an observation image, and stores the observation image in the storage unit. The microscope controller controls one of the optical systems to illuminate the specimen only during an imaging period, when the imaging unit images the specimen.

A culture observation apparatus, which is used for observing a cultured cell while culturing the cell, includes a culture device that forms a culture space which is controlled to be an environment suitable for culturing the cultured cell; a sample tray that holds a container housing the cultured cell and a culture medium; a microscope that serves for observing the cultured cell; a tray holding mechanism that holds the sample tray in the culture space in a detachable manner with good reproducibility; and a shifting mechanism that relatively shifts the sample tray held by the tray holding mechanism and a light axis of the microscope along a plane that is orthogonal to the light axis, wherein the sample tray has a heater used for heating the sample tray, and is electrically connectable to an energy supplying unit that supplies energy to the sample tray.
