The object of the present invention is to provide a grinding tool capable of continuing machining in a dry state and of being manufactured in a short time and at low cost, and a manufacturing method therefor. For said purpose, a grinding tool (-) for grinding a workpiece includes a threaded helical groove () formed on an outer circumferential surface of a cylindrical metal head portion (), ridgetop surfaces that result from the formation of the helical groove () and are formed so as to protrude with a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape, and abrasive grain surfaces () formed by winding an insulating resin rope in the helical groove () to mask the inside of the helical groove () and fixing abrasive grains on the ridgetop surfaces. A helix angle of the helical groove () with respect to an axial direction of the grinding tool (-) is set to be at least 80&#xb0; and less than 90&#xb0;.

Grinding tool and manufacturing method therefor

This grinding wheel tool is provided with a cylindrically shaped head unit comprising a hollow area passing through the inside, and abrasive grains adhered across the entire outer peripheral surface of the head unit. A fluid is supplied in the hollow area, and in the head unit, communication holes are formed which communicate between the hollow area and the outer peripheral surface and which, from the radial direction of the head unit, are angled forwards in the direction of rotation. Hereby, it is possible to provide a grinding wheel tool which can greatly reduce clogging even in cases where a high amount of cutting chips are generated per unit time, such as in high-feed processing.

Grinding wheel tool

A grindstone tool is provided with a shaft part which has a tubular shape having a connection hole therein, a head part which has a cylindrical shape coaxially and integrally connected to the leading end of the shaft part and having a hollow section therein, and abrasive grains which adhere to the entire outer peripheral surface of the head part via a bonding material. A grinding fluid is supplied to the hollow section of the head part from one end side of the head part, the other end side of the head part is blocked by a lid member, and in the head part, a plurality of communication holes through which the hollow section and the outer peripheral surface communicate with each other, and which each have a taper shape with a diameter size on the outer peripheral surface side larger than a diameter size of the shaft center side are formed.

Provided are a gear machining apparatus and a gear machining method with which the surface roughness, in a tooth profile evaluation range, of the surfaces of the teeth of a gear can be improved. This gear machining apparatus () machines shapes a gear () by machining a workpiece () with a grinding wheel, and comprises: a threaded grinding wheel () that shapes a gear () by machining a workpiece (); and a disc-shaped dresser () that shapes the threaded grinding wheel () while rotating with the threaded grinding wheel () in a meshed state. A pressure angle (a) of the dresser () is designed to be dislocated such that a reference pitch circle diameter (PCD) of the gear () shaped by the threaded grinding wheel () is outside the tooth profile evaluation range of a tooth surface ().

Gear machining apparatus

Provided is a grindstone tool capable of grinding with high precision and a method for manufacturing same, the grindstone tool having improved chip discharge characteristics to thereby prevent chips clogging of the chip pocket. The grinding tool comprises: dimples () formed in the external peripheral surface () of a base metal () so that the quantity present in any position in the width direction of the external peripheral surface () is the same in the peripheral direction; a grinding surface () formed by affixing a plurality of abrasive grains () to the external peripheral surface () using a plating layer (); and recess parts () into which chips produced by the grinding of the abrasive grains () are discharged, the recess parts being formed by portions that correspond to the dimples () in the grinding surface () being recessed.
