A transport apparatus includes a plurality of transport processing units. The transport processing unit transports optical signals on an optical network which controls, by transmitting or receiving the optical signals including control information, apparatuses that are managed on the basis of areas. The transport processing unit includes a setting-information storage unit that stores therein setting information indicating a group to which a plurality of apparatuses within the area belongs, a frame generating unit that, upon receiving the optical signal, determines on the basis of the setting information whether the control information is to be terminated or to be passed through itself, sets a destination depending on the result of the determination, and generates a frame including the control information, and a path switching unit that switches a path of the frame on the basis of the destination of the frame.

Transport apparatus

A transport apparatus, includes a switching frame generator that generates a GCC-mode-switching special frame for instructing a corresponding apparatus to switch a GCC mode, a GCC overhead insertion unit that inserts the GCC-mode-switching special frame generated by the switching frame generator into a GCC overhead and transmits the GCC overhead to the corresponding apparatus, a transmission-mode controller that performs a control operation to switch the GCC mode of its own apparatus after the transmission of the GCC-mode-switching special frame is completed by the GCC overhead insertion unit, a switching-frame determination unit that determines, upon receiving the GCC overhead from the corresponding apparatus, whether the GCC-mode-switching special frame is inserted into the GCC overhead, and a reception-mode controller that performs a control operation to switch the GCC mode of its own apparatus when the switching-frame determination unit determines that the GCC-mode-switching special frame is inserted into the GCC overhead.

Transport apparatus and transport method

A distributed power supply is incorporated in a device including a plurality of PCB. An on-board power supply is provided in the distributed power supply. The on-board power supply individually supplies a secondary power to each PCB using a primary power. Each PCB includes a primary power supply monitoring circuit, a PCB internal power supply monitoring circuit, and a pulse generation circuit. The primary power supply circuit detects an abnormality in the voltage of in the primary power supplied to the on-board power supply. The PCB internal power supply monitoring circuit restarts the PCB when the abnormality is detected. The pulse generation circuit transmits a restart signal to the other PCBs in the device.

Distributed power supply and method of recovering from error

A multiple frame rate synchronous detecting apparatus for synchronous-detecting received serial data having one frame rate among a plurality of predetermined frame rates is provided. The apparatus comprises a serial-to-parallel converter for serial-to-parallel converting the received serial data with matching with highest frame rate, a coincidence detector for comparing a portion of the converted parallel data corresponding to a predetermined region defined based on the frame rate, with a pattern for synchronous detection to detect coincidence, and a synchronous determiner for determining to have been synchronized with the frame rate when a periodic cycle of the coincidence detection is the same as a previous one.

Multiple frame rate synchronous detecting method and apparatus

A packet transmission system is disclosed. The system serves between terminal apparatuses that include a supervisory control circuit configured to transmit a supervisory signal in a direction opposite to the transmission direction of a main signal on each of and both of an upstream circuit and a downstream circuit. The packet transmission system transmits overhead information of a packet frame of the main signal of the upstream circuit and the downstream circuit using the supervisory control circuit of the downstream circuit and the upstream circuit, respectively.

Packet transmission system and a terminal apparatus

A transport systems is equipped with a burst error detecting unit that monitors a predetermined byte, which is specified in advance in a frame to be monitored, in a transmission signal having header information and data information multiplexed into the frame in bytes. The burst error detecting unit detects a burst error based on a change in a state of occurrence of a bit error in the predetermined byte in a predetermined time window.

This invention is a transmission terminal station apparatus. The transmission terminal station apparatus is connected to a low-order group terminal device through a low-speed line and connected to a high-order group terminal station device through a high-speed line. The transmission terminal station apparatus includes a detection unit, a first insertion unit, a multiplexing unit, and a second insertion unit. The detection unit, when a frame is received from the low-order group terminal device, detects, as detection information, information related to operation maintenance information to be transmitted from the overhead of the frame to the high-order group terminal station device. The first insertion unit inserts detection information detected by the detection unit into a space area of the frame. The multiplexing unit generates a multi-frame including the frame. The second insertion unit inserts new operation maintenance information into an overhead of the multi-frame generated by the multiplexing unit to transmit the operation maintenance information toward the high-order group terminal station device.

Transmission terminal station apparatus and network system

In a control device for processing an optical supervisory transmission signal necessary for network management between transmission devices in a wavelength-multiplexed optical transmission system, there is provided a main signal device that amplifies a main signal light which is wavelength-multiplexed. A supervisory control device processes supervisory control information. A transmission path connects the main signal device and the supervisory control device. The supervisory control information is defined by mapping items of data of the optical supervisory transmission signal into an overhead defined in another optical transmission system. The main signal device converts the optical supervisory transmission signal dropped from the main signal light into the supervisory control information, which is sent to the supervisory control device. The supervisory control device processes the supervisory control information received as the overhead.

Optical supervisory transmission signal control device

A transmission apparatus comprises a main signal line block for transmitting a main signal and a monitor/control block for monitoring state of the apparatus and lines by collecting line switching information supplied from each unit which constitutes the main signal line block and controlling the switching operation between a working line and a protection line. The main signal line block and the monitor/control block are connected by an ATM link. An ATM routing unit in the main signal line block collects line switching information supplied from each unit and maps the line switching information in data portion of an ATM cell and transmits the ATM cell to the monitor/control block via the ATM link.
