Tire having optimized sidewalls and crown reinforcement made up of two working crown layers and a layer of circumferential reinforcing elements

Tire comprising a layer of circumferential reinforcing elements

Tire comprising a crown reinforcement formed of at least two working crown layers of reinforcing elements. First layer C of rubber compound is placed between ends of the two working crown layers. Second layer S of polymer compound is in contact with at least one working crown layer and with the carcass reinforcement. The crown reinforcement includes at least one layer of circumferential reinforcing elements. The elastic modulus under tension at 10% elongation of first layer C is less than 8 MPa, the maximum value of tan(&#x3b4;) of first layer C is less than 0.100. The second layer S is made up of a filled elastomer blend having a macro dispersion coefficient Z greater than or equal to 65 and a maximum tan(&#x3b4;) value less than 0.100, and its complex dynamic shear modulus G*, measured at 10% and 60&#xb0; C. on the return cycle, is greater than 1.35 MPa.

Tire comprising a crown reinforcement formed of two working crown layers having unequal axial widths, layer C of rubber compound between ends of the working crown layers, layer S of polymer compound in contact with at least one working crown layer and in contact with the carcass reinforcement and the crown reinforcement comprising a layer of circumferential reinforcing elements arranged radially between two working crown layers. Tire comprising a layer of circumferential reinforcement elements

The invention relates to a tire with radial carcass reinforcement, made up of at least one layer of metal reinforcing elements, the said tire comprising a crown reinforcement, itself radially capped by a tread, the said tread being connected to two beads via two side walls, the said tire comprising a first layer of polymer compound radially between the carcass reinforcement and the radially innermost layer of reinforcing elements of the crown reinforcement. According to the invention, the said first layer of polymer compound constitutes a buffer zone designed to trap oxygen on the outside of the said first layer, the axial width of the said first layer being at least equal to 70% of the width of the radially innermost layer of reinforcing elements of the crown reinforcement.

Tire having improved dynamic properties

A tire the tread of which contains at least three circumferential grooves, having at least three radially superposed layers of elastomeric compounds. A first elastomeric compound constituting the first layer forming the radially outer part of the tread has a maximum value of tan(&#x3b4;)max, greater than 0.110, a second elastomeric compound constituting the second layer radially on the inside has a tan(&#x3b4;)max at least 10% lower than the first elastomeric compound, the radially innermost third layer of the tread consists of at least two first parts and of at least three second parts axially, each one in contact with at least one of the at least two first parts, the at least two first parts axially centered on a radial plane passing through one of the at least three circumferential grooves consisting of the second compound and the at least three second parts consisting of a third elastomeric compound having a maximum value of tan(&#x3b4;), denoted tan(&#x3b4;)max, at least 10% lower than the second elastomeric compound.
