A transparent display device includes a substrate on which a pixel including first, second, and third emission areas and first and second transparent areas arranged along a first direction is defined, a light-emitting diode disposed in each of the first, second, and third emission areas and including a first electrode, a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode, and an auxiliary electrode extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and electrically connected to the second electrode. The first emission area and the auxiliary electrode are disposed between the first transparent area and the second transparent area, and the second transparent area includes a first portion between the first emission area and the second emission area. Further, the first transparent area has a higher transmittance than the second transparent area.

A transparent display device includes a substrate on which a pixel including an emission area and a first transparent area is defined, and a light-emitting diode provided in the emission area and including a first electrode, a light-emitting layer, and a second electrode. The transparent display device further includes an anti-deposition layer provided in the first transparent area. The height of the light-emitting layer at an edge area of the emission area is higher than the height of the light-emitting layer at a center area of the emission area. The invention provides a transflective liquid crystal display device including: first and second substrates opposing each other; liquid crystal material interposed between the first and second substrates; first and second electrodes, arranged in correspondence to the first and second substrates, respectively, to apply an electric field to the liquid crystal material; reflective pixel electrodes being positioned between the liquid crystal material and the second substrate; transparent pixel electrodes being positioned between the liquid crystal material and the second substrate; a color filter layer positioned between the first substrate and the liquid crystal material, the color filter layer having first portions aligned with the reflective pixel electrodes and second portions aligned with the transparent pixel electrodes; and a backlight device under the second substrate.

Transflective liquid crystal display device having reflective and transparent pixel electrodes

An inventive array substrate for the transflective liquid crystal display device includes a pixel electrode, a reflective electrode, and an interposed insulation layer. When the pixel electrode is under the reflective electrode, the sum of the thickness of the insulation layer and the reflective electrode is less than 0.5 micrometers. In other embodiments, upper surfaces of the reflective and pixel electrodes are on the same plane. This results from adjusting the thickness and changing the structure such as adopting a drain supplementary electrode extended from the drain electrode of the thin film transistor or positioning the pixel electrode within the transmitting hole of the reflective electrode.
