A method of transferring communication streams, including establishing a first stream via a first communication path between a first terminal and a second terminal, opening a second communication path between the second terminal and the first terminal, sending to the first terminal, via the second communication path, a request to establish a communication stream between the first terminal and a third terminal via a third communication path, and comparing respective capabilities of the first terminal and the third terminal to determine whether it is possible to establish a communication stream between the first terminal and the third terminal, and in the affirmative, interrupting the first stream and establishing a communication stream, between the first terminal and the third terminal.

Method of transferring communication streams

Predefined electrical signals, produced by an electrical equipment in the building during a change of electrical operating state of said equipment, are detected on the building's power supply system. By analyzing each detected electrical signal, tracking data is generated including information relating to the date of detection, the electrical equipment originating the signal and the corresponding change in electrical state. At least one parameter representative of the activity carried out by said person is determined, in the form of a probability of an activity or a type of activity being carried out, based on tracking data generated during a predefined period of time.

Process and device for remotely tracking a person's activity in a building

A technique of setting up a transfer of data between two communications devices. The devices are connected to an IP network via respective subscriber lines each conveying a voice and signaling channel and a data channel. The IP address of one of the devices is sent to the other device on the voice and signaling channel using a signaling mode of that channel. The transfer of data is effected after setting up a session on the data channel.

Method and an associated device for setting up a transfer of data between two communications devices

A system for acknowledging that a message sent by a sender terminal and received on a destination mobile terminal has been read. The sender terminal comprises a module for: a) supplying the identifier of a destination mobile terminal for the message; b) generating the text of the message to be sent; and c) specifying a method of returning the read acknowledgment, accompanied by an associated identifier. The mobile terminal comprises a module for: displaying the message sent by the sender terminal, and for sending a read acknowledgment using the specified method of return.

System for acknowledging a message received on a mobile terminal

A system for providing a patient with remote medical assistance at home a patient station () includes at least a remotely controllable patient video camera () and a patient computer () provided with means () for acquiring data from medical assistance appliances (), with relay means () for forwarding commands to the appliances, and with means () for connection to a telecommunications network (). A carer station () includes, at least a display screen () suitable for receiving images from the patient video camera (), and a carer computer () provided with means () for connection to the telecommunications network () in order to set up a call with the patient station (), means () for remotely controlling the patient station, suitable for remotely controlling the patient video camera () and for sending the commands to the patient computer (), and means () for use after remote control for monitoring and feedback purposes by displaying on the display screen () images supplied by the patient camera () and by transferring to the carer computer () data that has been transmitted from the acquisition means () of the patient computer via the telecommunications network (). The system is applicable to enabling patients to be cared for at home.
