The present invention relates to a system for pumping an effluent produced by a geologic formation at the bottom of a well, comprising a pump located in the well and rods connecting the pump to the surface. The pump includes at least a stator and a rotor. The rods are rotated by surface means driving the rotor into rotation to pump the fluid and to drive the fluid towards the surface through an annular pipe external to the rods. The system includes a mechanism for holding the rotor in the stator and for transmitting the rotation of the rods to the rotor. The pump includes means suited for allowing injection, from discharge area (26), of at least part of the effluent produced into the mechanism so as to ensure the lubrication thereof.

Pumping system comprising a high-capacity positive-displacement pump

In a drain (2) fitted with a perforated casing (3), a fluid under pressure is injected in various locations by selectively changing the position of the injection points in relation to these locations by means of a pipe (4). The position of the injection ports and/or the area thereof is varied through the selective opening of valves or by displacing an injection pipe (4). The density of the perforations of the casing (3) and/or of the injection pipe (4) can also be varied. A sweeping of the reservoir crossed by the drain is achieved by injecting for example a hot gaseous fluid such as steam under pressure and the density of the perforations (11) of a pipe (4) is for example selected in such a way that the amount of heat transferred to the formation is substantially constant along the drain.

Method for favoring the injection of fluids in producing zone

The present invention provides a method for injecting a fluid into a geological formation so as to form a barrier of said fluid along a predetermined surface having an elongate shape, the direction of elongation of this surface, or main direction, being distinct from the vertical. Said method consists in injecting said fluid from at least one injection zone of at least one drain passing through said formation, said injection zone being sloping with respect to the vertical and belonging substantially to the surface of the barrier to be formed.
