A device for measuring a physical quantity, including at least a transceiver unit for electromagnetic waves, an antenna-sensor including a sensor integrated into a target antenna having at least one excitation port, the antenna-sensor having a variable impedance with electromagnetic transduction, the measuring device being configured, per predetermined frequency band and independently of the angular difference between the transmission and reception of waves, for measuring the electromagnetic response of the antenna-sensor at least from an ellipticity rate of an electromagnetic field backscattered by the antenna-sensor, the ellipticity rate characterizing the polarization of the electromagnetic field configured to be measured by the transceiver unit, the electromagnetic response being representative, by electromagnetic transduction, of the at least one physical quantity to be measured.

The invention concerns a helical antenna comprising a shape of revolution and a plurality of radiating strands helically wound around the shape of revolution, characterized in that each radiating strand is defined by a repetition of a fractal pattern comprising segments formed by a sinusoidal curve.

The invention relates to an antenna comprising a plurality of metallic elements (), said metallic elements () being in point contact () with a ground plane (M) and equally distributed about a central axis of symmetry (D) of the antenna, perpendicular to the ground plane (M). The antenna of the invention is characterized in that each metallic element extends from the point contact at a non-zero angle of inclination (q) to said ground plane (M) and in that the ground plane (M) includes at least one cavity (--) so that, in operation, the antenna matching is better in a specified frequency band than when the ground plane (M) has no cavities.
