A stationary window arrangement for a motor vehicle door is connected with an upright extending holding web by the interposition of a seal, and a holding rail being mounted at the lower edge area of the window. The holding web, the window, the holding rail, the seal, and an upper end piece for the holding web are prefabricated in a single operation to form a unit that is ready to be installed in the door.

Stationary window arrangement at a motor vehicle door

A pane such as a windshield for a motor vehicle is firmly connected by means of an adhesive element to an elastomer profile which is fitted onto a flange of a frame of the pane. The elastomer profile is composed of a U-shaped clamping part having a metallic reinforcing insert and a supporting part for holding the pane at a distance from the frame. Also included is a recess on the top side of the supporting part for receiving a string-shaped adhesive element. This arrangement allows for compensating process tolerances while reducing the amount of required bonding agent. Additionally, this arrangement provides for the pane to be held securely within the frame in the event of an accident.

An arrangement for the lowering and lifting of a window of a motor vehicle door which includes a window lifter mechanism with a driving motor and an operating switch; for improving the closing operation of the vehicle door, particularly with regard to noise, the driving motor is adapted to be influenced by a control installation in such a manner that preferably during the opening of the door the window is displaced into a lowered position and after completion of the closing of the door is again raised into its upper end position.

A roof assembly for vehicles, especially motor vehicles for agricultural purposes, utilizing a roof member having approximately the shape of an inverted trough that is mounted upon a roof frame. The roof is made of plastic, is releasably mounted to the vehicle, and has a segment which rests upon the roof with a sealing element interposed therebetween. This segment cooperates with a supporting part for an upper roof wall and with the roof frame by means of a holding device. In accordance with the preferred embodiment, the upper roof wall has a local extension in the vicinity of the supporting part which rests upon a bent portion of the supporting part, and the holding device is formed by a recess in a peripheral wall of the roof formed by the segment and by an element of the supporting part that projects into the recess.

A method for surface painting body parts for motor vehicles consisting of synthetic resinous material, in which a first layer consisting of a filler preferably including two components is applied onto the body part and is thereafter baked-in; this first layer is then fine-finished to obtain a smooth surface; thereafter an intermediate filler is applied and baked-in over the first layer, which is then again fine-finished, and finally a cover paint is applied as third layer which is again baked-in.

A windshield is attached to the windshield frame of an automobile by a generally U-shaped easily removable member which is clamped to a flange portion of the frame, and an adhesive material joining the windshield to the easily removable member. This facilitates removal of the windshield from the frame without the necessity of removing the adhesive material from between the frame and the windshield proper.
