Systems and methods for surveying the sclera are provided. In some aspects, a method for generating a design for a prosthetic lens for an eye of a subject includes arranging an eye of a subject at a distance from a plurality of illumination sources and a plurality of imaging devices, projecting light onto the eye of the subject using the illumination sources, acquiring image data of the eye of the subject and the light using the plurality of imaging devices, generating a three dimensional map of the eye, including the sclera, using the image data; and designing, using the three dimensional map of the eye for the lens that fits over a cornea of the eye to engage the sclera and form a fluid pocket between the prosthetic lens that surrounds the cornea.

Systems and methods for surveying the sclera of the eye

A neutron detector includes a pressure vessel, an electrically conductive field cage assembly within the pressure vessel and an imaging subsystem. A pressurized gas mixture of CF,He andHe at respective partial pressures is used. The field cage establishes a relatively large drift region of low field strength, in which ionization electrons generated by neutron-He interactions are directed toward a substantially smaller amplification region of substantially higher field strength in which the ionization electrons undergo avalanche multiplication resulting in scintillation of the CFalong scintillation tracks. The imaging system generates two-dimensional images of the scintillation patterns and employs track-finding to identify tracks and deduce the rate and direction of incident neutrons. One or more photo-multiplier tubes record the time-profile of the scintillation tracks permitting the determination of the third coordinate.

Direction sensitive neutron detector

Apparatus, usable to measure current in a multiple-conductor cable having supply and return conductors spaced apart by a nominal conductor spacing and carrying respective supply and return currents in opposite directions, includes (1) a non-magnetic body having a cable-engaging portion defining a location and an orientation axis of the multiple-conductor cable relative to the apparatus when the cable-engaging portion engages the cable during use, (2) a planar, multi-turn wire coil supported by the body immediately adjacent to the location and lying in a plane parallel to the orientation axis, the wire coil having a coil diameter at least four times the nominal conductor spacing, and (3) signal conditioning circuitry operative in response to a voltage signal developed across output ends of the wire coil to generate a conditioned voltage signal having a voltage magnitude determined by and indicative of a magnitude of the supply current during use.
