Method for producing an instrument panel support

Apparatus for optically surveying and/or examining a welding componentry, in particular a vehicle axle or instrument panel, includes a measuring space for accommodating a plurality of cameras for taking images of the welding componentry. The images are combined and evaluated in an evaluation unit. Disposed in the measuring space is a support unit for support of the welding componentry. The support unit includes a base plate and at least two vertically adjustable support columns on the base plate. Provided on the free end of each support column is a clamping unit which includes two clamping elements constructed for movement relative to one another for clamping the welding componentry. In addition, the support columns have each a pin which is movable in relation to the clamping unit.

Apparatus and method for optically surveying and/or examining a welding componentry

Apparatus for optical measurement and/or examination of a welding assembly includes a measuring space in which a welding assembly is located. Further disposed in the measuring space is a stationary reference object which is made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion &#x3b1;&#x2266;2.0*10/K at 20&#xb0; C. A plurality of cameras in the measuring space take images of the welding assembly and the reference object, with the image information transmitted to an evaluation device for evaluation.

An arrangement for simulating force effects of a vehicle wheel has a multi-part housing and a frame-shaped wheel adapter mounted on the housing and arranged in a vertical plane. The wheel adapter defines a wheel center and a ground contact point of the wheel in the vertical plane. A first push rod is articulated on the wheel adapter and extends in a horizontal plane intercepting the vertical plane at the wheel center. It simulates a first longitudinal force. The wheel adapter has a U-shaped cutout near the ground contact point which is penetrated by a vertical bolt extending in the vertical plane through the wheel center and the ground contact point and connected by a first joint to the housing. A second push rod is connected to the housing transversely to the vertical plane. The axis of the second push rod intercepts the ground contact point and simulates a lateral force. A third push rod is rotated 90&deg; to the second push rod and has an axis extending in the vertical plane through the ground contact point. It simulates a second longitudinal force and is connected by a second joint to the housing. The first and second joints have center points coinciding with the ground contact point. A force introduction member is articulated coaxially on the vertical bolt below the U-shaped cutout on the wheel adapter.
