An electric motor vehicle with a drive motor, a first rechargeable battery with a first design and a second rechargeable battery with a second design. Electrical energy may be transferred bidirectionally between the drive motor and the first rechargeable battery, and at least unidirectionally from the second rechargeable battery to the drive motor or the first rechargeable battery. The second rechargeable battery in this case includes at least one redox flow cell. Furthermore, a redox flow module is provided with at least one redox flow cell, which includes an electrical coupling for connection to a circuit of a vehicle and a fluid coupling for connection to an electrolyte circuit of said vehicle.

Electric motor vehicle and redox flow module and cartridge therefor

A transmission including a ring gear engageable with clutch teeth. A shift fork connected to a cam roller is engageable with the ring gear. The cam roller includes at least one V-shaped groove, and an element is disposed between the V-shaped groove of the cam roller and a base of the shift fork such that rotation of the cam roller translates into displacement of the shift fork and the ring gear.

Planetary gearbox comprising a sliding coupling element and an actuator

A drive unit for driving at least two axles of an all-wheel drive vehicle, having a housing (), an input gear () meshing with an output gear () of a gear-shift transmission (), a center differential () coaxially disposed relative to the input gear () and one of the axles. To yield maximum rigidity at minimum structural dimensions the input gear () is rigidly mounted to a cage () of the center differential (), the cage () being journalled at one end in a first tapered roller bearing () seated in the housing (). A further output member () of the center differential () extends from the opposite end of the cage () and is rigidly connected to an output gear () journalled in a second tapered roller bearing () seated in the housing () and provided with a third tapered roller bearing () wherein the other end of the cage () is journalled.

Automatic transmission

An axle drive block for a motor vehicle, comprising a first and a second differential in a driven housing. Both of the differentials are coaxially aligned planetary spur gears, the sun wheels of which are drivably connected to the semiaxes of the first driven axle. The planet wheels of both differentials mesh the joint ring gear of the sun wheels. In order to lock the interaxle differential, the housing is provided with a first striking surface interacting with a second striking surface which is pressed thereto by ball ramps.

Axle drive block with a differential lock

Axle-drive unit for a motor vehicle which contains a first and a second differential () in a driven housing (), the two differentials () being spur-gear-type planetary gears with parallel axes, the sun wheels () of which are in each case connected in terms of drive to the half axles () of the first driven axle, and planet wheels () of the two differentials () meshing with their common ring gear (). The housing () has a machined inner surface () which surrounds the ring gear () with little clearance, the ring gear is so thin in the radial direction that it is deformed in a lobe-like manner by the radial component of the tooth forces exerted by the planet wheels (). The outer circumferential surface () of the ring gear is placed against the inner surface () of the housing () in a manner producing friction at least locally.

Final drive assembly with differential lock

An all-wheel drive with hybrid drive has an internal combustion engine (), a first drive train () for a first driven axle (), a second drive train () for a second driven axle (), an electric machine () in the second drive train (), and a first clutch () upstream of the electric machine () and a second clutch () downstream of the electric machine (). In order to improve all the electrical functions and to provide an all-wheel drive which meets all requirements, the electric machine () is composed of a stator () and of a rotor () which is connected to a first element () of a three-element planetary gear mechanism (), whose second element () is connected to the first clutch () and whose third element () is connected to the second clutch ().

All-wheel drive vehicle with hybrid drive

A viscous shear coupling for distributing torque between front and rear axles of an all-wheel drive vehicle is provided which comprises a housing, a set of inner blades interdigitating with a set of outer blades, the inner and outer blades being axially spaced apart from each other and axially slidably mounted within the housing, a viscous liquid located within the housing, an adjusting piston within the housing which is axially displaceable so as to adjust the axial distance between adjacent inner and outer blades. The viscous shear coupling further includes a control pressure circuit for delivery of a control pressure fluid to the adjusting piston, a control valve for regulating the delivery of the control pressure fluid to the adjusting piston, and a control device (e.g., a microprocessor) which calculates a desired adjusting piston speed based on driving conditions and adjusts a valve current delivered to the control valve in order to obtain the desired adjusting piston speed. A process for controlling the viscous shear coupling includes acquiring a set of signals indicative of driving conditions and converting them to a set of input parameters, converting the input parameters to a set of basic parameters, ascertaining a set of control deviations from the basic parameters and the input parameters, calculating the desired adjusting piston speed from the control deviations, and adjusting the valve current delivered to the control valve in order to obtain the desired adjusting piston speed.
