A length measuring device includes a carrier with a scale which extends longitudinally in a measuring direction. A scanning carriage for scanning a measuring graduation of the scale is longitudinally guided in the measuring direction, and, via a coupling, is rigidly coupled to a driver in the measuring direction and transversely thereto coupled to it in a flexible manner. The coupling includes a coupling element arranged between a first coupling point on the scanning carriage and a second coupling point on the driver. At the second coupling point, the coupling element is attached via a solid-body joint that is designed to carry the coupling element so as to be freely rotatable in relation to the driver about an axis of rotation which runs perpendicularly to a plane of the measuring graduation. The coupling element has a lower density than steel and/or a higher modulus of elasticity than steel.

Length measuring device

A length-measuring device for measuring a relative position of two objects includes a hollow section member in which a tensioned scale tape extends. A mounting block is disposed at each end of the scale tape. An adjuster is configured to position a mounting block on the hollow section member in a first installed condition such that the mounting block is displaceable in the longitudinal direction. The adjuster is movably mounted on the hollow section member and capable of being brought from a first to a second position. The mounting block is in the first installed condition when the adjuster is in the first position. The mounting block is movable to a second installed condition by moving the adjuster to the second position. In the second installed condition, the mounting block is fixed in a nominal position defined by the adjuster on the hollow section member.

Length-measuring device

A length-measuring device for measuring a relative position of two objects with respect to each other by scanning a measuring graduation of a scale tape includes a hollow section member in which the scale tape is tensioned along a longitudinal direction of the hollow section member. A tensioner device is configured to tension the scale tape. The tensioner device includes a fixed member which is stationary relative to the hollow section member and a tensioner which is held under tension on the fixed member by a spring acting in the longitudinal direction, as well as a holding member to which the scale tape and the tensioner are attached. The tensioner is detachably secured to the holding member and configured such that the tensioner is separable from the holding member and removable from the hollow section member at an end. An adjuster adjusts the tension of the scale tape.

A device for measuring deformations of a rotor blade of a wind turbine generator system includes an angle measuring device and an arm. The angle measuring device includes a first and a second assembly. The first assembly is pivotable relative to the second assembly about an axis. The second assembly has a fastening site that is configured to be connected to the rotor blade. The angle measuring device is configured to measure a relative angular position between the first and the second assembly. The arm has a connection site disposed at a distance to the fastening site and is configured to be connected to the rotor blade at the connection site. The arm is mechanically coupled to the first assembly at a radial distance such that, in response to a change in the distance, a relative angular displacement is generated between the first and the second assembly.

A device for measuring deformations of a rotor blade of a wind turbine generator system includes a position-measuring device having a first assembly and a second assembly. The first assembly is disposed so as to be movable relative to the second assembly. The position-measuring device is configured to measure a relative position between the first and second assemblies. An arm mechanically coupled to the first assembly has a first adhesive bonding surface configured to allow the arm to be permanently joined to the rotor blade. The second assembly has a second adhesive bonding surface configured to allow the second assembly to be permanently joined to the rotor blade. A first mounting element is fixed to at the second assembly and/or the arm. A second mounting element is adhesively attachable to the rotor blade. The first mounting element is detachably joinable to the second mounting element.

Device for measuring deformations of a rotor blade and method for installing such a device

An angular-position measuring device includes a shaft rotatable relative to a body about an axis extending in a z-direction. A measuring standard having an end face is fastened on the shaft in rotatably fixed manner. The body includes a scanning device for scanning the measuring standard. Both the roller bearing and a sealing unit are provided on the side of the measuring standard facing the end face relative to the z-direction, The sealing unit includes rings that are rotatable relative to each other and are separated from each other by a gap, the gap being filled at least partially with a fluid.

Angular-position measuring device

An assembly for an angular position measuring device includes a shaft having a measuring standard for measuring a rotational movement about an axis. The shaft has a shoulder as an integral component, on which a roller bearing is mounted in axial abutment. Arranged between the shoulder of the shaft and the roller bearing is a groove which is oriented with a radial directional component and is connected to a hollow space for receiving lubricant, the hollow space being bounded in the radial direction by a ring of the roller bearing and by the shaft.

An arrangement for connecting a tubular element to a body extending into the same using a tensioning ring, which, via its inner surface, embraces the outer wall of the tubular element, extends axially along the tubular element, and applies clamping forces thereto such that the tubular element acts via its inner wall on the body situated in the tubular element, clamping the same. The tensioning ring rests against the outer wall of the tubular element with only one axial partial section of its inner surface and exerts a clamping action thereon.

An angular position measuring device includes a cap, a connecting cable and a spring element which is arranged on the cap. To fix the connecting cable in position, the spring element is able to generate a force which has a radial directional component with respect to the connecting cable, the connecting cable being pressed against the cap by this force. In this manner, the connecting cable is secured with form locking and/or frictional engagement on the cap in a contact area of the cap.

A coupling for the torsion-proof, but radially resilient connection of a stator of an angle encoder with a stator of an object to be measured, the coupling includes a spring element that is either normally in a first position but when the spring element is bent out by a bending force the spring element moves from the first position through a click point to a second position where the spring element engages a portion of the angle encoder or the spring element normally is biased in a first position but when the bias of the spring element at said first position is canceled the spring element is moved to a second position where the spring element engages a portion of the angle encoder.

A rotary encoder including a housing having a wall which forms a bottom of the housing and has a center and at least one opening, a cover for closing the at least one opening, with the housing wall having an attachment region which encloses the wall center and has at least one attachment point at which the cover is attached to the housing wall, and a fastening element for securing the cover to the housing wall and rotatable at the attachment region to provide for connection of the fastening element with the at least one attachment point.

Rotary encoder

An angle measuring system that includes a stator and a rotor for measuring an angular position between a stationary first object and a second object, which is rotatable about an axis of rotation. A coupling couples the stator to the stationary first object so that the stator is fixed against relative twisting, but is also radially and/or axially resilient. A mounting element that clamps a face of the stationary first object by expanding in a radial direction with respect to the axis of rotation. An expansion element that interacts with the mounting element so as to cause the expanding in a radial direction and a screw that actuates the expansion element, wherein the screw is screwed into the stationary first object.

Angle measuring system and method of mounting it

A multi-turn rotary encoder that includes a first code carrier connected with an input shaft, a scanning device that scans the first code carrier and generates an absolute position of the input shaft within one revolution, and a digital code word is present at an output of the scanning device and a second code carrier for measuring the number of revolutions of the input shaft. A reduction gear is arranged between and coupled to the first and second code carriers. The second code carrier includes a magnetic body with at least one north and south pole and a substrate with a spatial arrangement of sensor elements integrated therein, which are sensitive to magnetic fields, is associated with the magnetic body. An evaluation circuit integrated into the substrate, wherein scanning signals, which are phase-shifted with respect to each other, from the sensor elements are supplied, and that the evaluation circuit combines the scanning signals in such a way that a second digital code word is present serially or in parallel at an output of the evaluation circuit. A combination logical device, which is supplied with the first and second digital code words and which forms a resultant multi-digit code word therefrom.

A scanning graduation that scans a scale along a measuring direction to produce a signal representative of a position measurement value. The scanning graduation includes a particular transmission function which generates a filtering function when scanning the scale, wherein the transmission function is determined by a quantity of harmonics to be suppressed in the signal. The scanning graduation includes at least one scanning element for scanning a graduation period of the scale. The at least one scanning elements have at least one track comprised of N sub-elements, which are offset from one another in a measurement direction within a graduation period of the scanning graduation and whose effective widths b.sub.i (i=1 to N) within the graduation period are matched to their position within the graduation period so that the Fourier coefficients of the transmission function associated with the harmonics to be suppressed are minimized.

A position measuring system with compensation for variable distance between the light source and the index disk. The index disk has a plurality of index lines separated by masked areas. The light source emits beams of light that impinge upon the plane of the index disk at an angle and yet are parallel to the direction of the index lines. The masked areas on the index disk along with the light source positioned at an angle with respect to the axis of the index disk allow the detectors located downstream of the index disk to be maximally illuminated when the index disk is located at its maximum permissible distance from the light source and the detectors are minimally illuminated when the index disk is located at its minimum permissible distance from the light source.
