A method for checking an electric energy storage device for a blade angle adjustment drive of a wind turbine. The method includes blocking an electric motor, loading an electric energy storage device from the blocked electric motor by means of a converter; and observing the discharging of the electric energy storage device.

Method for examining an electric energy accumulator

A pitch system for a wind turbine installation having an electrically driven pitch drive associated with each rotor blade and an electric motor arranged in a rotating part of the wind turbine installation for blade adjustments. A power and control unit is associated with the motor and has line connections for the transmission of power and control data from the power and control unit to the motor and vice versa. The line connections are passed via a first rotating bushing arranged at a connecting point between the rotating part and an axially adjacent stationary region. The pitch system also includes second rotating bushing which operates mechanically and electrically separately from the first rotating bushing and is connectable to the power and control unit and to the motor for maintaining reliable transmission of the power and control data if the first rotating bushing fails.

Redundant pitch system

The disclosure relates to a wind turbine having a machine support (), a rotor () which can be driven by wind () to rotate about the rotor axis () and is mounted so that it can rotate on the machine support () about a rotor axis (). The rotor includes a rotor hub () and several rotor blades () which extend respectively in the direction of a blade axis () running transverse or essentially transverse to the rotor axis (). The rotor blades () are mounted so that they can rotate on the rotor hub () about the respective blade axis (). Blade angle adjustable drives () are arranged on the rotor () and enable the rotor blades () to rotate about the blade axes thereof (). A blade angle control device () is coupled to the blade angle adjusting drives () and can control the blade angle adjusting drives (). An electric generator () is mechanically coupled to the rotor () and can be driven by the rotor to generate electric energy. The blade angle control device () includes several control units () which are respectively coupled to the blade angle adjusting drives () enabling a first control unit () to be fixed to the rotor () and a second control unit () to be fixed to the machine support.

Wind turbine

The invention relates to a control cabinet for a wind turbine including a cabinet body () defining an inner chamber () and having a peripheral wall (). One or more electric circuits () are arranged in the inner chamber () and one or more electric energy storage modules () which are secured to the cabinet body (). The energy storage modules () are arranged on an exterior side of the cabinet body and are detachably secured thereto.

Switchgear cabinet for a wind turbine

The invention relates to a blade pitch controlling drive for a wind turbine, comprising an electrical converter, an electric motor that is electrically coupled to the converter, a monitoring unit operable to monitor an electric output current supplied by the converter to the electric motor and determine a state of the load on the converter as a function of the electrical output current, a current limiting unit operable to reduce a maximum possible output current to a nominal current when the state of the load is an overload state when the nominal current when in a non-overload state, and a peak current control unit that can be activated. When activated, the peak current may be provided as the maximum possible output current, regardless of the load state of the inverter at the time of the activation.

Blade pitch controlling drive for a wind turbine

A switchgear cabinet for a wind turbine has a cabinet housing with a ventilation hole defined therein. A fan is disposed in the cabinet housing and supported on the cabinet housing so as to be disposed in front of or in the ventilation hole. A circumferential coaming is disposed on the outer side of the cabinet housing surrounding the ventilation hole. A pan-shaped cover has a closed front and a rim. The cover is disposed over the coaming with the rim extending around the coaming. The cover is spaced from the coaming so as to define at least one air-permeable connection between the fan and the surroundings of the cabinet.

An electric drive has at least one electric motor and a power converter feeding electrical motor current thereto. A current desired-value emitter generates a reference signal. An additional circuit is coupled to the current desired-value emitter so as to receive the reference signal and generates a current desired-value signal. A current regulator is coupled to the additional circuit so as to receive the current desired-value signal. The current regulator generates a control signal to the power converter so as to regulate the motor current as a function of the current desired-value signal. The additional circuit has a first mode wherein the current desired-value signal corresponds to the reference signal and a second mode wherein the current desired-value signal is a pulsed signal.
