A method for separating a pipe comprising a pipe axis, a pipe wall, a pipe interior, an inside pipe circumference, an upper end to be separated, and a lower end, the pipe being anchored in the ground by the lower end, includes providing a cutting assembly comprising at least one water jet nozzle which produces a water jet. The cutting assembly is lowered into the pipe interior through the upper end to be separated down to a separation zone. The pipe is cut with the cutting assembly. The cutting assembly acts progressively against the inside pipe circumference. The water jet, when activated, produces a cut comprising a substantially constant cut width and two complementary conical cut surfaces. The water jet is directed at an angle (&#x3b1;) to a plane which runs perpendicular to the pipe axis so that the cut runs diagonally through the pipe wall.

Method and device for separating pipes

A device for removing sea bed includes a conveying line at least partially surrounded by sea water and an emergency emptying device arranged in the conveying line. The conveying line is configured to have a sea bed be removed therethrough so that a removed sea bed is transportable to a surface in a conveying direction. The emergency emptying device is configured so that the removed sea bed moving in a direction counter to the conveying direction in the conveying line is dischargeable from the conveying line into the sea water.

An apparatus for making a second borehole in the ground, a cross section of which second borehole partially intersects a cross section of an existing first borehole, includes a boring device and a guide device operatively connected to the boring device. The guide device includes at least a first guide element configured to interact with a wall of the existing first borehole and a direction-influencing device configured to influence a direction of the second borehole while the second borehole is being made. The guide device is configured to guide the boring device relative to the existing first borehole.

An apparatus for making a second borehole in the ground, a cross section of which second borehole partially intersects a cross section of an existing first borehole, includes a boring device and a guide device operatively connected to the boring device. The guide device includes a first guide element configured to interact with a first side of a wall of the existing first borehole facing the second borehole and a second guide element configured to interact with a second side of the existing first borehole remote from the second borehole. The guide device is configured to guide the boring device relative to the existing first borehole.
