A windshield wiper having at least a single telescope arm, variable in its effective length during the wiper movement. A drive arrangement completely relieves a guide of an extendable part of the wiper arm of laterally directed forces, so that a simple and light embodiment of the drive arrangement and wiper arm is made possible.

Single-arm windshield wiper for motor vehicles

A casing for an equipment part, both casing and part being accommodated in a space located between the engine compartment or boot and the splash wall of a motor vehicle, the portion of the casing surrounding the equipment part from below, or its connection to the remaining casing being designed to be movable, in such a way that, when the casing is installed or removed for maintenance, for example, the lower portion yields temporarily changing its shape and then assumes its initial shape again.

A thermometer is provided which is insertable between two lamella of a heat exchanger. The thermometer exhibits a double channeled insulated pipe or tube for receiving the uninsulated leads which are connected to a temperature sensitive resistance at a supporting connection with a cap surrounding a heat conducting mass. The other end of the double channeled tube is inserted into a connector device which in turn leads to a relieved connecting cable.

A sliding guide member which includes a sliding member accommodating one end of flexible cable assembly which is adapted to transmit tensile and compressive forces. The end zone of the sliding member in proximity of the cable assembly, which zone is slidingly movably guided within a fixed guide sleeve, is constructed to be offset with respect to the remaining zone in which is accommodated an adjusting element for the sliding guide mechanism. The guided end zone of the sliding member has an approximately spherical shape and includes a bore for a suspension mounting of an end of the flexible cable assembly, which end is provided with a ball element. The sliding member is provided with a threaded bore extending in the axial direction for accommodating the adjusting element, which is equipped with an external thread so as to enable a coupling of the adjusting element to the sliding member.

An adjustable outlet nozzle for heating and venting systems of automobiles having a double-wing butterfly valve arranged inside a convex-spherically shaped ring which is universally pivotably supported by a concave-spherically shaped connector housing, the wing flaps of the valve being actuatable by means of a rotatable cross handle and a bevel gear drive, the flanks of the cross handle being axially aligned with a transverse supporting member and with the fully open wing flaps of the valve, to form a smooth air guide through the nozzle.
