An air-filter device has folded filters which form a plurality of filter regions. The device possesses at least one cleaning device for a filter region. On the crude-air side, the cleaning device has a mechanism which generates a transport flow, parallel to the folded filters and directed transversely to the air flow in the filter mode, and a disposal outlet for the material conveyed by the transport flow. On the clean-air side, the air-filter device possesses a comb nozzle which is movable along the filter region and which has a plurality of nozzles arranged in one plane and directed to the folded filter.

A device and process for mass transfer between liquid and gaseous media. Obstacles in the form of orifice plates or discs are installed in a flow channel bearing a gaseous medium, of the device. The obstacles define between them cavities which act as resonance cavities which result in flow forms and pulsations which lead to improved mass transfer with the liquid medium sprayed in through a high-pressure nozzle.

Apparatus for depositing a textile fiber strand

The present invention refers to a device for depositing a textile sliver in a can, comprising a bent delivery pipe, which is adapted to be rotated about a substantially vertical axis and the mouth of which ends in front of a stationary wall projecting into the cross-section of the mouth of the bent delivery pipe. The task to be solved by the present invention is the task of simplifying a device of the type mentioned at the beginning and treating the sliver with care at the same time. In accordance with the present invention, this task is solved by the features that a pressure-exerting member, which is directed towards the stationary wall and which moves together with the belt delivery pipe, is arranged behind the mouth of the bent delivery pipe when seen in the direction of rotation, the coefficient of friction of the wall being higher than the coefficient of friction of the pressure-exerting member, when measured in the direction of rotation of the bent delivery pipe.

Device for depositing a textile sliver in a can

Known pneumatic pipe conveyor installations for fibres, particularly for textile fibre strands, comprise a conveyor pipe and a selectively operable feeder apparatus for feeding the fibres to the inlet opening of the conveyor pipe. For permitting the feeder apparatus to be automatically stopped in response to the formation of a fibre congestion adjacent the inlet opening of the conveyor pipe, there is provided a pressure-receiving surface (6) at least partially surrounding the inlet opening (5) of the conveyor pipe (2) and operatively connected to a switch (7) adapted to generate a stop signal for stopping operation of the feeder apparatus (3) in response to the pressure acting on the pressure-receiving surface (6) exceeding a predetermined value. The pneumatic pipe conveyor installation is useful for conveying fibre strands or slubbings in the textile industry.

Known apparatuses comprise a feed passage (4), a nozzle passage (5) extending therefrom in the feed direction (T), and a flow generator for generating a feed gas flow in the feed passage. The outlet portion of the nozzle passage (5) has provided therein a lateral opening (13) which permits the outflow of the gas stream. To be able to carry out pressure measurements in a measuring funnel with a known apparatus as well, the apparatus comprises a control (40) through which the lateral openings (13) can be closed. After the opening has been closed, pressure which can be measured with the aid of a pressure sensor (42) builds up in the tapered nozzle passage. The pressure measured corresponds to the thickness of the fiber sliver and can be used for controlling an upstream card. The apparatus is employed during the feed of card slivers.

Apparatus for compressing and automatically introducing a textile fiber

A combing cylinder for a combing machine having a combing segment with a wing-shaped profile. This segment is fastenend on the body of the cylinder. An air duct is arranged between the inside surface of the combing segment and the outer cylindrical surface of the cylinder body. Because of the cooperation between the wing-shaped profile of the combing segment and the air duct, the air flow produced by the rotation of the cylinder causes a suction effect which pulls the fibers towards the advancing comb. This suction assures early engagement of the fiber fringe to be combed by the teeth of the combing segment.

An apparatus for gathering a textile fibre fleece from a doffer (3) of a card and forming therefrom a fibre sliver which is then fed to a conveyor (7) is disclosed. The apparatus includes a trough (8) which extends from a take-off location defined by a take-off roller (2). The trough (8) has width substantially corresponding to that of the take-off location and has a bottom (9) and sidewalls (10) which preferably converge in the shape of a funnel. The apparatus also includes a funnel disposed at one end (19) of the trough (8). The funnel is formed as a compressed-air-operable injector (11) for conveying and forming the sliver (5). End (19) of the trough (8) is connected to exhaustor means (23) which suck the fibre fleece (4) towards injector (11).

In an apparatus for compressing and automatic introduction of a fibre strand into a feed nip: an opening is formed as a longitudinal slot (12, 12a, b12'a) extending from the outlet port (15) of the nozzle channel (7;7') in the longitudinal direction thereof and in a plane extending substantially perpendicular to the plane (E--E) of the feed nip (1; 1'). The contour of the insertion nozzle (6, 6') adjacent its outlet end on both sides of the longitudinal slot (12, 12a, b; 12'a) is of a shape (9, 10;9') conforming to the contours of the components (2, 3; 2', 8'a), particularly rollers (2, 3) defining the feed nip (1; 1').

In order to remove broken threads and debris from textile drawing equipment having a drawing cylinder, a suction pipe connected to an air pressure sink is provided with a triangular suction opening at the drawing cylinder for removing the broken threads and debris. For substantially improved performance at essentially the same air throughput, the suction pipe, in continuation of its triangular suction opening, is provided with a triangular cross-section being congruent with the triangular suction opening and extending along a major portion of the length of the suction pipe, such as to the vicinity of its connection to the air pressure sink.

A blade structure for wiping cylinders of textile machines has a wiping blade including a mounting base along a length thereof, and a mounting bar having a longitudinal slot shaped for receiving the mounting base in interlocking engagement over its length. The longitudinal slot may have an enlargement extending inside the mounting bar along its length, and the mounting base of the wiping blade may conform in cross-section to that enlargement. When the wiping blade has a projecting free wiping lip, the mounting bar may have a leg projecting to that free wiping lip along the length of and in contact with the wiping blade.
