For the heat treatment of cigarette packs () having an outer wrapper made of shrink film, the packs () can be conveyed in pairs, one above the other, through a shrink-fitting subassembly (). During a standstill phase, heating plates () butt against upwardly and downwardly oriented pack surfaces in order to transmit heat. The heating plates () can be moved upward and downward in order that the pack () is free of loading during the conveying cycle.

Apparatus for the heat treatment of packs

In order to manufacture folding packets having a packet part (), a lid () and a collar (), a single-piece blank is used, in which a collar () is connected to a main blank () via connecting webs (). The collar () is connected to a connecting web () via an edge-side collar folding line, and the connecting webs () are connected to the main blank () via transversely oriented web folding lines (), with the result that the collar () can be moved into the position with two folding steps which follow one another.

In the region of the latter, folding tabs on sideways directed side walls and on radially outwardly directed end walls of the folded wrapper are sealed.

In the production of hinge-lid boxes for cigarettes, outer side tabs ( ) and lid side tabs ( ) are folded last of all in order to form side walls of the hinge-lid box ( ). Hinge-lid box for cigarettes and process and apparatus for gluing packaging material

A packaging machine for producing hinge-lid boxes for cigarettes has a rotating folding turret which has a plurality of pockets (21) which are open in the radial direction. For the purpose of securing blanks (11) or partially completed hinge-lid boxes (10) in the pockets (21) of the folding turret, protrusions (32) are arranged in the pockets (21) and have a supporting surface (34) for abutting a closure edge (18) of an inner side tab (14) of the blank (11). For the purpose of discharging a hinge-lid box (10) from the pocket (21), the retaining force which is exerted by the protrusion (32) is overcome.
