A 3D scanner for recording the 3D topography of an object, the 3D scanner including: a projector unit configured for projecting a structured beam of probe light onto the object; an imaging unit arranged to acquire 2D images of the object when the object is illuminated by the structured probe light beam; and an actuator unit arranged to control the position of the structured probe light beam at the object by rotating a movable portion of the projector unit around a pivoting axis, the actuator unit including a rotation motor including or arranged to drive a wheel, where the surface of the wheel operatively coupled to the movable portion of the projector unit has a radial distance from the axis of the rotation motor which changes with the rotation.

3D scanner using a structured beam of probe light

Disclosed is a 3D scanner for recording the 3D topography of an object, the 3D scanner including: a projector unit configured for projecting a structured beam of probe light onto the object; an imaging unit arranged to acquire 2D images of the object when the object is illuminated by the structured probe light beam; and an actuator unit arranged to control the position of the structured probe light beam at the object by rotating a movable portion of the projector unit around a pivoting axis, the actuator unit including a rotation motor including or arranged to drive a wheel, where the surface of the wheel operatively coupled to the movable portion of the projector unit has a radial distance from the axis of the rotation motor which changes with the rotation.

An apparatus, a method and a computer program are provided. The method includes analyzing first and second images, the first image being captured by a first image sensor portion and the second image being captured by a second image sensor portion, wherein at least one position on the first and second images, at which the analysis of the first and second images is initiated, depends upon at least one contextual characteristic; determining, from the analysis of the first and second images, an overlapping capture region for the first image sensor portion and the second image sensor portion; and stitching the first and second images together using the overlapping capture region.

Image stitching

A portable electronic apparatus including: a plurality of electronic components; a unitary body having an exterior continuous surface, a first aperture in the exterior continuous surface and a second aperture in the exterior continuous surface, wherein a first portion of the exterior continuous surface and the first aperture define a first major face of the apparatus and a second portion of the exterior continuous surface and the second aperture define a second major face of the apparatus, and wherein the first aperture is sized and positioned for the insertion of at least some of the electronic components into an interior housing volume of the unitary body and is closed by an electronic component providing at least part of a user interface and wherein the second aperture is sized and positioned for closure by the insertion of an energy storage electronic component.

Housing for an electronic apparatus

An apparatus including a guide track member for a first part, a guide pin for a second part and a first biaser. The first and second parts being for a portable electronic device and the guide track member including first and second guide track portions. The apparatus is configured such that the guide pm travels within the respective guide track first and second portions to provide respective first and second bistable configurations of the apparatus in which the first and second parts are held in relative positions to one another. The first biaser is configured to apply a lateral force to the guide pin to cause it to travel along the first portion of the guide track when moving from the first bistable configuration to the second bistable configuration and to apply a lateral force to the guide pin to cause it to travel along the second portion of the guide track when moving from the second bistable configuration to the first bistable configuration. The transition between the bistable configurations is provided by relative movement of the first and second parts in the same direction.

The invention relates to a mobile communications device comprising a housing, a transceiver in the housing, a keypad connected to the housing, and a display connected to the housing, wherein the housing comprises a first section movably connected to a second section of the housing by a multi-axis hinge, wherein a first axis of rotation of the hinge is provided at the first section of the housing and a second offset axis of rotation of the hinge is provided at the second section of the housing, and wherein the hinge comprises means for synchronizing rotation of the first and second sections relative to the hinge through a path of about 360 degrees.
