The present invention relates to an oven device for heat-treating a blank. The oven device has an oven housing having an oven chamber, in which the blank can be heat-treated with a defined temperature, and a tempering body, which is arranged in the oven chamber. Furthermore, the oven device has a tempering body and a tempering device. The tempering device is arranged within the oven chamber movably between a first position and a second position, such that the tempering device is, at least in the first position, in thermal contact with the tempering body and can, in the second position, be brought in thermal contact with the blank.

Oven device for heat-treating a metal blank

A furnace for heat treating an annealing material. A sealable first furnace chamber is designed to receiving and heat treating annealing material. A first heat exchanger is arranged in the first furnace chamber. The first heat exchanger is arranged within a housing section of the first furnace chamber. A sealable second furnace chamber is designed for receiving and for heat treating annealing material. A second heat exchanger is arranged in the second furnace chamber. The second heat exchanger is arranged within a housing section of the second furnace chamber. A closed transport fluid path is connected to the first heat exchanger and to the second heat exchanger for transferring thermal energy between the first annealing gas and the second annealing gas.

A method is described for preheating annealing goods in a hood-type annealing installation, comprising two annealing bases () which accommodate the annealing goods () under a protective cover (), with the annealing goods () to be subjected to a heat treatment under a protective cover () being preheated with the help of a gaseous heat carrier which is guided in a cycle between two protective covers () and absorbs heat from annealing goods () which are heat-treated in a protective cover () and emits it to the annealing goods () to be preheated in the other protective cover (). In order to avoid contaminations of the heat-treated annealing goods () it is proposed that the heat carrier flow guided in a cycle flows around the two protective covers () on the outside, whereas a protective gas is circulated within the protective covers ().

Method for preheating annealing products in a hood-type annealing system

A method continuously creates a bainite structure in a carbon steel, especially a strip steel by austenitizing the carbon steel; introducing the austenitized carbon steel into a bath containing a quenching agent; adjusting the carbon steel to the transformation temperature for bainite and maintaining the transformation temperature for a certain period of time; and then cooling the carbon steel. The carbon steel stays in the bath until a defined percentage of the bainite structure relative to the total structure of the carbon steel has formed. Residues of the quenching agent are removed from the surface of the carbon steel by blowing the same off when the carbon steel is discharged from the bath, and the remaining structure components of the carbon steel are then transformed into bainite in an isothermal tempering station without deflecting the carbon steel at all.

Method and device for the continuous creation of a bainite structure in a carbon steel, particularly in a strip steel

A method is described for batchwise heat treatment of goods to be annealed which are heated in a heating chamber after scavenging air with a scavenging gas under protective gas to a predetermined treatment temperature, with the protective gas being conveyed through the heating chamber depending on the occurrence of impurities in different quantities. In order to enable the economic use of protective gas, it is proposed that the protective gas which is withdrawn from the heating chamber after the main occurrence of impurities and which is loaded with a residual quantity of impurities is conveyed, optionally after intermediate storage, into the heating chamber during the main occurrence of impurities of a subsequent batch before non-loaded protective gas is introduced into the heating chamber.

Method for batchwise heat treatment of goods to be annealed

The invention describes a hood-type annealing furnace, especially for steel strip or wire bunches, with an annealing base () for receiving the material () to be annealed, a protective hood () which is placed on the furnace in a gas-tight manner, a radial blower () which is held in the annealing base () and comprises a blade wheel () and a guide apparatus () enclosing the blade wheel () for circulating a protective gas in the protective hood (), a heat exchanger () for cooling the protective gas, which heat exchanger () is connected on the input side via a flow conduit () with the pressure side of the radial blower () and opens on the output side in an annular gap () between the guide apparatus () and the protective hood (), and a deflection device which is axially displaceable into the pressure-side flow path of the radial blower () for the optional connection to the radial blower () of the flow conduit () which leads to the heat exchanger (). In order to provide simple construction conditions it is proposed that the protective hood () is held in a gas-tight manner via an annular flange (), that the heat exchanger () is disposed below the annular flange (), that the flow conduit () consists of an annular conduit () starting from the outer circumference of the guide apparatus () and being concentric to the annular gap (), and that the deflection device is arranged as an annular deflection slide () which encloses the guide apparatus () on the outside.

Hood-type annealing furnace, especially for steel strip and wire bunches

A tower furnace for heat treatment of metal strips having a pre-heating section ( ) and a high-temperature section ( ) connected thereto at the top forming a housing ( ) separate from the pre-heating section ( ) is described, whereby the pre-heating section ( ) equipped with a preferably gas-heated muffle ( ) exhibits a connecting stopper ( ) made of heat-insulating material for the high-temperature section ( ) inserted into the muffle ( ). To create advantageous structural conditions it is proposed that the high-temperature section ( ) is also fitted with a preferably gas-heated muffle ( ) which encloses the connecting stopper ( ) externally and connects to this in a gas-tight manner preferably by way of a fluid seal ( ).

Tower furnace for heat treatment of metal strips

To be able to satisfactorily bright-anneal metals having a high affinity to oxygen in a hood-type furnace or the like under a protective gas, a rather pure inert gas such as argon, neon or helium, which is mixed with not more than 50 vol-% of a reducing gas, for instance hydrogen, is used as protective gas in cooperation with an oxygen binder, preferably titanium.

Method of bright annealing metals having a high affinity to oxygen

A plant for the continuous heat treatment of steel strips (4) or the like has a nonmagnetic insulated housing (1), in which two axially parallel unheated rollers (2, 3) are disposed at a distance from each other. To the first roller (2), the steel strip (4) or the like is supplied, which is then wound around the second roller (3) and as a secondary winding gets back to the first roller (2) through a transformer plate assembly (7) and is discharged from said second roller. The primary winding (10) with a corresponding number of turns is disposed outside the housing (1). The housing (1) is filled with a protective gas and has means (11, 12) to ensure a uniform temperature level and distribution in the housing (1).

Plant for the continuous heat treatment of steel strips or the like

A tower furnace for the heat treatment of metal strips comprises a muffle (3) extending over the entire furnace height, through which muffle passes the strip (6). At the top of the muffle (3) an insulated stopper (1) with an electric heater (2) has been inserted into the muffle (3). Below this stopper (1) a gas-heated preheating space (4) is provided in the muffle (3).

Tower furnace for the heat treatment of metal strips

An annealing base for hood-type annealing furnaces comprises a support (6) receiving the annealing goods, in particular stacked sheet metal coils. The support (6) rests on the distributor (4) of a central fan (5). The vertical fan axis is surrounded by a thermally insulating filling member (3). The load of the distributor (4) is transmitted by means of a supporting structure (9, 10) through the filling member (3) to a frame member (2) supported on the foundation (1). The filling member (3) consists of insulating wool or the like gas-tightly encapsulated in sheet metal. To avoid the formation of cracks in the filling member (3) during the annealing process, a stronger shaped ring (9) adapted to the bottom surface of the distributor (4) is inserted in the sheet metal constituting the capsule of the filling member (3), which shaped ring constitutes the supporting structure by means of two concentric sheet metal cylinders (10) connecting the same with the frame member (2).
