A kitchen appliance () for processing foodstuff comprises housing () surrounding a cavity () for receiving said foodstuff. The appliance further comprises an outlet () for dispensing pourable foodstuff from the housing () and a collector () to receive and collect pourable foodstuff and delivering the pourable foodstuff to the outlet (). The outlet () has a spout (), said spout () being hingeable about a substantially horizontal axis () between a first position in which the pourable foodstuff can be dispensed from the spout () and a second position in which dispensing of the pourable foodstuff from the spout () is prevented. Said spout () is constructed and arranged to be manipulated by a manipulator acting on the spout () so as to urge the spout () towards the second position.
