An injection unit for a moulding machine includes an injection cylinder, and an injection piston is provided in the injection cylinder. During an injection process, the injection piston is configured to push out a plasticized mass—in particular plasticized plastic—from the injection cylinder and to feed it to a moulding tool via an injection nozzle. At least two plasticizing units and two supply channels are provided, and the at least two plasticizing units can be fluidically connected with the injection nozzle by the supply channels. The at least two plasticizing units are configured to supply the injection cylinder with the plasticized mass via the supply channels and the injection nozzle prior to the injection process.

Injection unit for a moulding machine and method for injecting a plasticized mass

A plasticizing device includes a plasticizing cylinder and a plasticizing screw arranged in the plasticizing cylinder. The plasticizing screw is rotatable about, and linearly movable along, a longitudinal axis. The plasticizing screw comprises a functioning section. A sensor is arranged in or on the plasticizing cylinder, and a distance to the surface of the functioning section of the plasticizing screw can be measured by the sensor. A detecting device can detect a type of the functioning section and/or an operating state of the functioning section, can detect a distance signal progression by a movement of the functioning section relative to the sensor, can compare the detected distance signal progression with a stored distance signal progression, and can issue a signal representing the type of functioning section and/or the operating state of the functioning section depending on a matching of the detected distance signal progression with a stored distance signal progression.

Plasticizing device for a molding machine

A method of manufacturing a molded part includes inserting melt into a cavity of a first tool part, and the first tool part and a second tool part are moved away from one another during or after the insertion of the melt by moving a second mold clamping plate relative to a first mold clamping plate such that in the first tool part or in the second tool part clearance space of a first or second cavity portion of the cavity is created, and a gap is formed between the first tool part and the second tool part. Melt is further inserted into the clearance space of the cavity, and the gap is bridged by an at least already partially solidified section of the melt. A holding force is transmitted from the second tool part to the first tool part through the partially solidified section of the melt bridging the gap.

Process for producing a molded part

A pull or push rod or locking nut for a molding machine has an undercut, and the undercut has an undercut cross-section, a side wall, and an undercut ramp. The side wall transitions via a first transition curvature into an undercut base, and the undercut base transitions via a second transition curvature into the undercut ramp. The undercut base, viewed in the undercut cross-section, is at least partially curved, and the curvature of the undercut base differs from the first transition curvature and/or the second transition curvature.

The groove is suitable for forming a positive-locking connection with a locking nut, by which positive-locking connection forces are transmittable between the locking nut and the pull or push rod. The groove has a groove cross-section, has at least two groove flanks, and has a groove base. The at least two groove flanks, viewed in the groove cross-section, each transition with at least one transition curvature into the groove base. The groove base in the groove cross-section is at least partially formed as a curvature, and the curvature of the groove base differs from the transition curvatures of the groove flanks.

Pull or push rod or locking nut for a molding machine

A vertically closing closure unit for an injection molding machine includes a moveable mold mounting plate, and at least one frame bar for guiding the moveable mold mounting plate. A vertical restraint device holds and locks the moveable mold mounting plate to the at least one frame bar.
