A bulk loader car (1) comprises a storage box (2) exhibiting a ground conveyor belt (4) and a support frame (3). The storage box (2) is supported on a vehicle undercarriage frame (9), wherein in each case rail undercarriages (12) are disposed on end sides of the vehicle undercarriage frame (9). A transfer conveyor belt (8) is coordinated to a discharge end (6) of the ground conveyor belt (4) disposed at an angle to the horizontal. The vehicle undercarriage frame (9) is composed out of a first and a second car frame (10, 11) connected to each other by a coupler (15). The storage box (2) is supported in each case by a swivel ring (19, 20) on the two car frames (10, 11). One of the swivel rings (19) is supported longitudinally shiftable relative to the car frame (10).

Bulk loader car

A machine for withdrawing bulk material from a track, in particular ballast aterial, includes a bulk material clearing device vertically adjustably secured to a machine frame and including a rotatable, endless scraper chain positioned between the rails of the track immediately above the track. A first conveyor extends in longitudinal direction of the machine frame and has a receiving end which receives bulk material from the clearing device. Immediately trailing the clearing device in the operating direction is a vertically adjustable sweeping device which includes a sweeping broom rotatable about a pivot axis extending horizontal and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the machine frame. A second conveyor immediately trails the sweeping device in the longitudinal direction of the machine frame and includes a receiving end for receiving bulk material from the sweeping broom.

Machine for withdrawing bulk material from a track

A crane carrying vehicle for transporting track ties comprises an elongated machine frame supported on undercarriages for movement on rails in an operating direction, the machine frame comprising a storage section for temporarily storing track ties and having two side walls extending in this direction, the side walls being spaced from each other in a transverse direction extending perpendicularly to the operating direction by a distance corresponding at least to the length of the track ties. A track tie supporting platform in the storage section may be tilted between a horizontally extending loading position and an unloading position extending at an angle to the loading position, and the vehicle carries a power-adjustable pivotal crane outrigger with a gripping device for gripping track ties.

A machine for aspirating ballast from a bed supporting a track comprises a machine frame and undercarriages supporting the machine frame on the track for mobility therealong. A vacuum generator and a ballast storage receptacle are mounted on the machine frame. A suction tube is connected to the vacuum generator, the suction tube terminating in a tubular end section having a longitudinal axis and defining a suction opening at one end thereof for aspirating the ballast, the tubular end section being rotatable about the longitudinal axis. A displacement mechanism attaches the suction tube to the machine frame for vertically and transversely displacing the tubular suction tube end section, the displacement mechanism comprising drives for vertically and transversely displacing the tubular suction tube end section, and a drive is provided for rotating the tubular suction tube end section in a direction of rotation.

Ballast suction machine

An excavating and conveying chain assembly for transporting ballast of a track includes a plurality of chain links hingedly connected to each other for traveling along a transport path. Connected to each chain link is a scraper blade which has a link-distal end formed with a plurality of projecting scraper fingers. Each scraper finger is of two-part configuration, with a first part being formed by an engagement member secured to the scraper blade and jutting out therefrom in a finger-like manner, and with a second part being formed by a protective cap that is pushed onto the engagement member and detachably secured thereto by a fastener.

A machine for treating a ballast bed underneath a track comprises a machine frame extending in a longitudinal direction and supported on the track by undercarriages for movement in an operating direction, a suction unit mounted on the machine frame, the suction unit comprising a vertically and laterally adjustable suction pipe having a suction opening for aspirating ballast from the ballast bed, a conveyor band arranged on the machine frame to convey the aspirated ballast away from the suction unit, and a ballast discharge device mounted on the machine frame rearwardly of the suction pipe in the operating direction, the ballast discharge device comprising a hopper. A conveyor arrangement extends in the longitudinal direction on the machine frame and has an input end arranged to receive the aspirated ballast from the conveyor band and an output end arranged to discharge the aspirated ballast into the hopper. A track lifting unit is mounted on the machine frame between the suction opening and the ballast discharge device.

Machine for sucking up rail ballast

A track working machine includes a machine frame extending in longitudinal direction along a track and supported by undercarriages for mobility in an operating direction along the track. The machine frame exhibits a first work section situated between two undercarriages and a second work section immediately trailing the first work section in the operating direction. A self-propelled transport unit travels along guide rails which are mounted in the longitudinal direction onto the machine frame. The machine frame is formed in the area of the first work section essentially by two parallel beams extending in the longitudinal direction and spaced transversely to the machine frame, with the parallel beams being connected together by a traverse heading disposed above the guide rails to thereby enable the transport unit to move from the second work section underneath the traverse heading into the first work section.

A ballast cleaning machine comprises a machine frame supported on undercarriages running on the track and carrying a ballast screening arrangement, a ballast excavating device including a revolvable excavating chain arranged to deliver excavated ballast to the screening arrangement for cleaning the excavated ballast, a conveyor arrangement disposed to receive the cleaned ballast from the screening arrangement and to discharge the cleaned ballast for support of the track, a laterally and vertically adjustable suction pipe having a suction opening at one end for receiving ballast, and a vacuum device connected to an opposite end of the suction pipe for applying sub-atmospheric pressure to the suction opening and thereby to suck up ballast through the suction pipe.

Ballast cleaning machine

The installation for the rehabilitation of a ballast bed supporting a track including two rails comprises a first machine, and a second machine, the machines being supported on the track by undercarriages for movement in an operating direction, and the second machine preceding the first machine in the operating direction. A vertically adjustable ballast excavating device is mounted on the first machine for excavating ballast from underneath the track, a first conveyor arrangement is arranged to remove the excavated ballast from the ballast excavating device, a second conveyor arrangement is mounted on the first machine for conveying bulk material, the second conveyor arrangement having a discharge end rearwardly of the ballast excavating device in the operating direction and an input end arranged at an end of the first machine, and a third conveyor arrangement is mounted on the second machine for conveying the bulk material, the input end of the second conveyor arrangement being arranged to receive the bulk material from a discharge end of the third conveyor arrangement. In accordance with the invention, a clearing device is mounted on the second machine, the clearing device comprising a scraping chain for taking up bulk material lying on the track, the scraping chain revolving about a horizontal axis extending transversely to the track and having a discharge end, and an input end of the third conveyor arrangement being arranged under the discharge end of the scraping chain.

Installation for the rehabilitation of a ballast bed

An arrangement for installing a protective layer between a subgrade and a layer of ballast of a track bed includes an excavating unit to remove ballast from underneath the track and a subgrade stabilizing unit by which additives are disposed directly over the exposed subgrade and blended underneath the track with the subgrade for formation of a protective layer following a leveling and compacting process. Removed and cleaned ballast is then laid by a conveyor over the new protective layer.

Method and apparatus for stabilizing a subgrade with additives added

A track working machine comprises a machine frame extending in a longitudinal direction and having opposite ends, the machine frame having an upwardly recessed portion between the ends, and undercarriages supporting the machine frame ends on the track for mobility thereon in an operating direction. An operator's cab has an access below the upwardly recessed machine frame portion for permitting an operator to enter and leave the cab, and two structural parts are attached to the machine frame and extend in the longitudinal direction below the upwardly recessed machine frame portion, the structural parts being spaced from each other transversely to the longitudinal direction and defining therebetween a delimited working area. A hoisting apparatus is mounted on the machine frame, the hoisting apparatus comprising a load carrying device and drives for adjusting the load carrying device in vertical, longitudinal and transverse directions.

A mobile machine for withdrawing ballast from a ballast bed includes two receptacles, each of which including a separate intake port and discharge outlet, with a suction tube being selectively connectable to the intake ports of the receptacles. In order to selectively seal the intake ports in an air-tight manner, each intake port accommodates a closing element so as to allow an alternate emptying and filling of the receptacles without interruption of the withdrawal of ballast.

A mobile machine for preparing rails for welding comprises an elongated bridge-like machine frame extending in a longitudinal direction, the machine frame having an upwardly recessed frame portion extending between opposite ends of the machine frame and defining a work space, and undercarriages support the opposite machine frame ends. Rail lifting devices are mounted on the machine frame for displacement in the longitudinal direction, and drives vertically adjust the rail lifting devices. The machine further has support shelves for storing rails on the machine frame.

A work train for exchanging old ties for new ties and comprising sequentiy arranged cars including freight cars for storing old ties and new ties, the train extending in a longitudinal direction and the cars being movable in an operating direction along an existing railroad track comprised of rails fastened to the old ties resting on a ballast bed. The train comprises a tie exchange device for laterally pulling respective ones of the old ties out of the track, a crane for transporting the old ties pulled out of the track and movable in the longitudinal direction, the crane comprising a tie gripping device, and a tie transport device on one of the cars at one end of the train for placing the new ties at the one train end.
