A redundant brushless drive system, including a coil () having first and second phase windings operable independently of one another and first and second independently operable sensor groups for the rotational position of a rotor () and for commutation of the phase windings. The first and second sensor groups are positioned along the motor axle one-behind-the-other parallel to each other and symmetrical to the motor axle (). An encoder circuit board () is configured such that an association of the sensor groups (GG) to a phase winding (WW) is configurable such that either the first sensor group (G) is used for controlling the first phase winding (W) and the second sensor group (G) for controlling the second phase winding (W), or the first sensor group (G) is used for controlling the second phase winding (W) and the second sensor group (G) for controlling the first phase winding (W).

Redundant brushless drive system

A miniature electric motor () with an outer diameter (D) that is smaller than or equal to 6 mm, has a hollow cylindrical stator () with stator coils () and a magnetic rotor () rotatably arranged around a rotational axis () in the stator () by means of a rotor shaft (). The stator coils () can be energized in order to generate a magnetic rotational field in dependence upon the rotational position of the magnetic rotor (). A sensor chip () having at least one magnetic field sensor () is arranged in such a manner in an area axially adjacent to a front face of the magnetic rotor () located within a plane that is vertical to the rotational axis () that the magnetic field sensor () is impinged in such a way by the magnetic field that the rotational position of the rotor can be evaluated.

The present invention relates to an electrical actuating drive () for devices to be adjusted mechanically, having an electrical drive motor () and an output-drive shaft () which can be adjusted over a rotation actuating range of more than 360&#xb0;, comprising an integrated contactless sensor angle measurement system () for determining and feeding back the respective rotation position of the output-drive shaft (). The sensor angle measurement system () produces an output signal which largely simulates the characteristics of a conventional multiple potentiometer system.

Electrical actuating drive

A component tape transport wheel, a component tape transport system and a method of operating a component tape transport system are provided, in which there is a rigid coupling between a transport wheel and an encoder wheel which is arranged on the transport wheel and whose position relative to a sensor can be determined. By this rigid coupling between the transport wheel which moves the component tape and a registration system including an encoder wheel and sensor for registering the position of the transport wheel, it is possible to register the position of the transport wheel at any time with the greatest accuracy. Even after a component tape transport system has been switched off, a determination of the absolute position of the transport wheel is possible, since the distance between two encoder elements of the encoder wheel is less than any play possibly caused by a drive of at least one of the transport wheel and an associated gear mechanism.
