A shock-resistant container consists of a container body dimensioned to receive a shock-sensitive object. An elastomeric element having a peripheral lip and a central shock-absorbing pedestal is placed within the container upon the inserted object and extends substantially across the inside diameter of the container in a non-wall-contacting configuration. The cover is engageable with the elastomeric element and causes the peripheral lip to engage the side wall and the cover to contact the pedestal, resulting in the elastomeric element being retained in a contents-sealing and shock absorbing configuration between the cover and the enclosed object.

Shock mount container

A support unit for suspending a pipe or similar article from an overhead structure comprises a frame having a base and a pair of opposed sides. The base has an opening therein to accommodate a vertically-oriented hanger-rod means extending downwardly therethrough for support of the pipe. A resilient element having a lower peripheral shoulder is mounted within the frame and is adapted to support the hanger-rod. A retention clip is provided with a generally circular central portion adapted to embrace the resilient element above said shoulder and a pair of opposed ears extending horizontally outward from said central portion, the frame having a pair of opposed slots dimensioned to accept the ears and retain the clip and the embraced resilient element in position.

Pipe support device

An improved isolator includes a bar of elongated base-forming members adapted to be mounted to a supporting surface and an elongated load-supporting bar adapted to support the load connected to, and supported above, the base-forming bars by a pair of arched flexural supports. Each support is formed of a series of individual flexural elements. The flexural elements are oriented or biased at an acute angle with respect to the horizontal, the first group of elements being biased in an angle opposed to that of the second group. The invention demonstrates more symmetrical response over an equivalent conventional isolator and permits further tuning of isolator response in accordance with load requirements.
