A roll assembly and a pipe extrusion plant for producing pipes with a variable diameter, includes an extruder, an adjustable calibration device, and a cooling device, whereby a pipe to be produced is guided at least in part during the production process. In order to be able to provide a guide that is suited to different pipe diameters, a roll assembly is provided to include a row of rolls which are placed one behind the other in a take-off direction, with each roll mounted in a bracket and supported to allow vertical positioning thereof in dependence on the pipe diameter.

A calibration basket is configured for a calibration station disposed in an apparatus for producing plastic tubes. The calibration basket contains calibration tools that are successively disposed at a distance from each other across the circumference of the tube. The calibration tools are embodied as calibration strips that extend in the longitudinal direction of the tube that is to be calibrated, are disposed so as to be adjustable on displacement spindles, and are provided with one respective sliding surface that enters in contact with the tube. Recesses that are connected to discharge ports are embodied in a sliding surface and are provided within the calibration strip. The discharge ports extend in a direction of the longitudinal axis of the calibration strip.

Calibrating basket for a calibrating station

A device for producing rigid plastic pipes of an approximately cylindrical shape, contains an extruder and a calibrating station following in the direction of production, which has calibrating tools to calibrate the outside diameter of the already partly hardened pipe. The calibrating tools bear against the outside wall of the pipe, lamellae serving as calibrating tools being respectively connected to spindles, which, for adaptation to different outside diameters of pipes that are to be calibrated, being adjustable in a radial direction perpendicular to the axis of the calibrating device and feed axis of the pipe that is to be extruded.
