A distribution gearbox for distributing a drive torque of a drive unit of a motor vehicle to a first axle and a second axle of the motor vehicle, and including a housing, an input shaft, a clutch unit which is seated coaxially with respect to the input shaft, and a chain sprocket which can be driven by the clutch unit and by way of which a drive moment of the input shaft can be transmitted to an output shaft, wherein the chain sprocket is mounted on a neck-shaped reduced portion of the housing.

Power divider

A transmission unit comprises a planetary wheel set, which comprises a plurality of gearwheel elements and is designed as a pump which effects delivery of hydraulic fluid from a suction zone to a pressure zone of a pump casing containing the planetary wheel set by means of the gearwheel elements. A controllable throttling device is provided in order to selectively throttle a fluid flow pumped between the suction zone and the pressure zone and thereby to brake the gearwheel elements of the planetary wheel set relative to one another. A fluid reservoir, which can be connected simultaneously to the suction zone and to the pressure zone via the throttling device, is arranged in a pump casing interspace formed between a plurality of gearwheel elements of the planetary wheel set.

Transmission unit

The invention relates to a torque transmission unit for a motor vehicle with a permanently driven primary axle and a switchable secondary axle, comprising a first connecting part and a second connecting part. The invention furthermore comprises several lamellas that are divided into primary lamellas and secondary lamellas in an alternating arrangement. The unit further comprises a planetary gear system, comprising an at least first gear element, rotationally connected with the first connection part, a second gear element, rotationally connected with the second connection part, and a third gear element, rotationally connected with the primary lamellas. The secondary lamellas are rotationally connected with the first connection part, the second connection part or with a stationary housing part. The torque transmission unit further comprises at least one electric coil for producing a magnetic field, acting on a magnetorheoplogical medium, wherein each primary lamella and secondary lamella is surrounded at least on two sides by the magnetorheological medium. The planetary gear system induces a torque of the primary lamellas into acceleration with a turning movement of the second connecting part in relation to the first connecting part.

Torque transmission unit

A magnetorheological clutch includes a primary part, a secondary part and a magnet for the generation of a magnetic field. The primary part and the secondary part are rotatable relative to one another around an axis of rotation of the clutch, with the primary part being rotationally fixedly connected to at least one disk. The disk is surrounded by coupling gaps in which a magnetorheological medium is arranged. The thickness of the at least one disk along the coupling gap has a value of approximately 0.4 mm to approximately 1 mm, with the at least one disk being formed along the coupling gaps without material interruptions.

Magnetorheological clutch

A magnetorheologic clutch includes a stationary part, a rotatable primary part having primary discs, a secondary part having secondary discs, and a chamber containing magnetorheologic fluid formed between the primary and secondary parts that is exposed to an adjustable magnetic field. To make a magnetorheologic clutch as small as possible which is capable of transmitting a peak torque at a minimum power consumption and which is easily controlled, at least one magnet coil is axially arranged before or after the discs and encompasses a first U-shaped cylinder head whose two surfaces are arranged on the side of the discs in a parallel thereto. A second cylinder head is disposed on the side of the discs opposite with respect to the first cylinder head. Areas of the secondary part are radially disposed inside and outside the discs which are made of a low-permeability magnetic material.

A magnetorheological clutch comprises a stationary part, a rotating primary part with primary laminated strips and a secondary part with secondary laminated strips, whereby a controllable magnetic field acts upon the magnetorheological fluid. The aim of the invention is to allow transmission of a highest possible torque in a smallest possible space and with minimal power consumption. Said aim is achieved, whereby a number of solenoid coils, each having a first yoke with a substantially radial winding axis, are alternately oppositely polarized; the first yokes have cylindrical front faces, whereby the magnetic field lines radially enter and exit said yokes, the primary laminated strips and secondary laminated strips form closed cylindrical envelopes and second outer and inner yokes are provided radially outside of and radially inside the first yokes, whereby the magnetic field lines radially enter the second yokes and radially exit said yokes in the opposite direction.

Magnetorheological clutch having lamination bands

A transmission unit for a motor vehicle has a drive shaft for a connection to an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle, an output shaft for the driving of the motor vehicle, a change speed gearbox, an additional drive motor and a planetary transmission, with the additional drive motor being coupled to a first part of the planetary transmission and the output shaft being coupled to a second part of the planetary transmission. The change speed gearbox has at least one selectable gear stage via which the drive shaft of the transmission unit can be operationally coupled directly to the output shaft while bypassing the planetary transmission. The change speed gearbox furthermore has at least one second selectable gear stage via which the drive shaft can be operationally coupled indirectly to the output shaft via a third part of the planetary transmission.

Transmission unit for a motor vehicle and control method therefor

Disclosed is a magnetorheological clutch comprising a stationary part (), a rotating primary part () with primary lamellae (), and a coaxially rotating secondary part () with secondary lamellae (). An adjustable magnetic field acts upon the magnetorheological fluid. In order to be able to transmit the greatest possible torque in a minimum of space and at minimal power consumption, at least one magnet coil () encompassing a first yoke () is disposed such that primary lamellae (') and secondary lamellae (&#x2032;) are located on both sides thereof. The lamellae are made of a material which is provided with moderate magnetic permeability and allows limited short-circuit flux. A second yoke (&#x2032;) having a face (&#x2032;) that extends parallel to the lamellae adjoins the outermost lamella on both sides, 'outermost' being in relation to the axial direction.

A magnetorheological clutch comprises a stationary part (), of a rotatable primary part () with primary lamellae () and of a secondary part () with secondary lamellae () which surrounds the primary part (), there being formed between the primary part () and the secondary part () a space () which contains a magnetorheological fluid, a regulatable magnetic field acting on the magnetorheological fluid. In order to have as small a build as possible, to be capable of transmitting a maximum torque with minimum current and to be easily controllable, at least one magnet coil () is arranged in front of or behind the lamellae () in the axial direction and loops around a first U-shaped yoke (), the two end faces () of which are on the same side of the lamellae and parallel to these, at least one second yoke () is on the side of the lamellae which faces away from the first yoke (), and the regions of the secondary part () which lie inside and outside the lamellae () in the radial direction consist of a material of low magnetic permeability.
