A spindle of an airjet spinning machine for guiding back the free yarn end after an interruption in a spinning process is disclosed. The spindle contains an injector duct in the immediate vicinity of the spindle orifice. To guide the free yarn end back after an interruption, compressed air is admitted through the injector duct and generates a suction action at the spindle end. After the yarn end has been guided back level with the entrance of the injector duct the yarn end is blown out of the spindle orifice by the compressed air.

A spinning position for spinning yard from a fiber structure including a fiber guidance element is disclosed. The fiber guidance element includes a fiber guiding surface having a deflection point located in the interior of the fiber guidance element. The input direction of a fiber structure into the fiber guidance element forms an angle of inclination &#x3b1; with the fiber guiding surface at the deflection point. The splaying of the outer fibers of the fiber structure is increased and the quality of the yarn is thereby increased. The jamming of the fiber elements lying parallel to the direction of introduction may also be avoided.

The invention relates to textile machines with several spinning places, whereby each spinning place comprises a can feeding means, a spinning unit, and winding unit. The invention is based on the task to design the spinning places in such a manner, to minimize the downtimes due to failures of machine components, or during re-fitting. According to the invention, such a spinning place is furnished with modularly structured and exchangeable spinning units and or winding units.

Modular air spinning frame

A device for the manufacture of a spun thread from a fiber sliver includes a fiber conveying channel with a fiber guidance surface. A yarn guidance channel includes an inlet mouth aperture disposed such that the fiber guidance surface guides fibers to the inlet mouth aperture. A fluid generating device creates eddy currents around the inlet mouth aperture to incorporate individual fibers into an end of a yarn being formed in the yarn guidance channel. The fiber guidance surface includes a fiber delivery edge having a shape and disposed relative to the inlet mouth aperture such that the fibers are guided over the delivery edge and conveyed to the inlet mouth aperture in an aligned generally flat planar formation.

To manufacture a spun yarn from a loose fiber structure, devices are used in which a swirl chamber is provided between a fiber delivery channel and a yarn extraction channel. A fluid is blown into the swirl chamber. This device exhibits in the swirl chamber a guide surface, which delimits the swirl chamber downstream for the purpose of guiding fibers or fiber sectors that are swirling in the swirl chamber, the surface extending in collar fashion around the inlet aperture of the yarn extraction channel. The guide surface may form an angle of at least 30&#xb0; with the axis of the yarn extraction channel in the yarn extraction direction, and outer areas of this guide surface are at a distance interval from the inlet aperture of the yarn extraction channel that corresponds to at least one tenth of the effective staple length of the fibers that are to be processed.

Device for producing a spun yarn

The application relates to a device for air spinning, i.e., for the manufacture of a spun yarn from a sliver. The device contains in particular a fiber guide element, a fiber conveying channel, and an eddy chamber housing attached to the fiber guide element. The eddy chamber housing contains in its turn a spindle with a yarn guide channel arranged at a distance interval from the fiber guide element. In addition, the eddy chamber housing contains a fluid device with at least one jet nozzle for the production of an eddy current about an inlet aperture mouth of the yarn guide channel. The fiber conveying channel exhibits a tunnel cladding, which is dimensioned in such a way that at the end of the fiber conveying channel a step to the eddy chamber housing is formed.

The invention concerns a start of spinning or the method of piecing for spinning positions of air spinning frames, which, during a spinning process, produce a thread from a longitudinal fiber structure and which, for this, comprise a fineness influencing unit with parts drivable at the inlet side and part drivable at the outlet side with clamping points, a means for the air twist generation and a means for the thread take-off, whereby, after an interruption of the spinning process, the resumption of the production of the thread comprises the following steps. In particular, the method does provide for,that the start-up of the part of the drafting unit, driven at the outlet side, takes place with a subsequent time coordinated and delayed start-up of the part driven at the inlet side, in such a manner that the end portions of the torn longitudinal fiber structure and of the thread end overlap and pass, in overlapping condition, the clamping point of the part driven at the outlet side.

Method and device of piecing or starting of spinning for spinning positions of air spinning frames

The invention relates to a device for the production of a spun thread from a staple fiber strand by means of air spin method. The fiber guiding element according to the invention includes a fiber conveying channel with a fiber guiding surface, whereby the fiber guiding surface ends at a fiber presenting edge and leads the fibers of the staple strand in the form of an essentially flat arrangement lying next to each other. The fiber-guiding surface is configured in such a manner that it includes a diverting point which causes a deviation of the staple fiber strand, where the deviation is being provided in such a manner that the free fiber ends of the fibers within the staple fiber protrude from the staple fiber strand.

An apparatus for producing yarn spun from a loose fibre array using a vortex flow includes a fibre supply duct having an outlet opening. A vortex chamber in communication with the outlet opening is also provided. A yarn take-off duct is present with an inlet opening in communication with the vortex chamber. The vortex chamber is also in communication with an exhaust duct. A wall that defines at least a portion of the vortex chamber is present and has an opening disposed therethrough allowing for communication between the exhaust duct and the vortex chamber.

Apparatus for producing a spun yarn

The ring spinning method drafts a sliver in a multi-stage drafting system where the sliver acquires a total draft in a range of from 60 to 150-fold. Following outlet from the last nip of the drafting system, the drafted sliver is conveyed without drafting over a guide path in which the fiber band is condensed to form a compact fiber strand of not more than 2.5 millimeters width and preferably less than 1 millimeter in width. At the end of the guide path, the fiber strand passes through a twist inhibiting nip between two rollers and is then passed by twist distribution to a ring spinning device. The yarn produced possesses a quality with respect to hairiness and neps.

Ring spinning method and a yarn made thereby

The ring spinning method drafts a silver in a multi-stage drafting system where the silver acquires a total draft in a range of from 60 to 150-fold. Following outlet from the last nip of the drafting system, the drafted silver is conveyed without drafting over a guide path in which the fiber band is condensed to form a compact fiber strand of not more than 2.5 millimeters width and preferably less than 15 millimeter in width. At the end of the guide path, the fiber strand passes through a twist inhibiting nip between two rollers and is then passed by twist distribution to a ring spinning device. The yarn produced possesses a high quality with respect to hairiness and neps.

A spinning ring of a ring spinning machine has an inclined flange which is configured such that a travel surface at the inner surface of the spinning ring has a radius (R2) which amounts to about 25 mm. and which merges into a radius (R1) which, at the location of the smallest inner diameter of the spinning ring, amounts to at least 1 mm. A rim or bead at the travel portion of the spinning ring has a height (H) which at most is about one-half larger than the thickness (K) of the rim. Consequently, there can be used travellers having small outer dimensions, so that there can be selected a larger wire thickness of the traveller material. In this way, the service life of the traveller in the ring spinning machine is increased in relation to the prior art. The radius (R1) which is large in comparison to prior art spinning rings and the comparatively small radius (R2) result in an approximately constant surface pressure between the traveller and the spinning ring and afford a stable travel of the traveller during ring spinning.

A nozzle mechanism for generating a twist in a yarn in an air-jet spinning machine, the nozzle comprising a central cylindrical duct having an axis through which a yarn is delivered in a selected direction and a bore having an axis and a diameter entering tangentially into the cylindrical duct for inputting compressed air into the duct, the bore entering the duct such that the axis of the bore forms an obtuse angle with the axis of the duct, the bore further entering the duct such that the perpendicular distance between the axis of the bore and the point of tangential entry of the bore into the duct is less than half the diameter of the bore.
