This invention relates to a system and a method for optimization of the process performance of a web-processing machine, in particular a machine for the production or further processing of paper, paperboard or tissue, including the following steps: storage of specific data of a component on a data storage unit fitted to the component; and/or measurement of relevant properties of the component by way of a sensor unit fitted to the component; sending of the specific data and/or the measured relevant properties to an open-loop control unit and/or a closed-loop control unit; and optimization of the process performance by way of the open-loop control unit and/or the closed-loop control unit using specific data and/or the measured properties of the component.

Production optimization using data received from a removable component

A rotary part, in particular a spreader roller for a web-processing machine has a supporting core with a longitudinal axis, said supporting core being mounted at its two longitudinal ends, and having an elastically flexible outer sleeve which surrounds the supporting core in its circumferential direction and extends, in at least some sections, between the two longitudinal ends of the supporting core. The outer sleeve on the supporting core is non-displaceably mounted on at least one bearing and that the outer sleeve is mounted on at least one displacing point at a distance from the bearing so as to be displaceable perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the supporting core in order for the curvature of the outer sleeve to be adjustable.

Rotary part

Sealing device for sealing at least one zone of underpressure or overpressure adjoining a moving surface that includes at least one sealing element, positionable opposite the moving surface to form a front and a rear, with respect to a surface running direction. The sealing device includes a sealing section located at the front and a ventilation section located at the rear. The sealing section is structured to sealingly interact with the moving surface; and the ventilation section is structured and arranged to form a gap with the moving surface that widens in the surface running direction.
