The invention is a colorless glass composition having a base glass composition, comprising, in weight percentage, from about 0.01 to 0.03 wt % of FeO; about 20-30% reduction (% Fe) and about 0.05 to 1 wt % of TiO, the glass having a visible light transmission of at least 89%, a ultraviolet radiation transmittance of no more than 81%; a solar direct transmission of no more than 90%; a dominant wavelength from 600 nm to 490 nm; and a purity of less than 2%.

Colorless glass composition

The invention is a glass composition with high visible light transmission and low ultraviolet light transmission, comprising, in weight percentage, less than 0.03 wt % of ferric oxide, from 0.05 to 1 wt % of titanium oxide and from 0 to 0.6 of cerium oxide, the glass having greater than 87% in visible luminous transmittance; a UV light transmission less than 60% and more preferably less than 50%; and, a solar direct transmittance no more than 90%.

Glass composition with high visible light transmission and low ultraviolet light transmission

A neutral gray soda-lime-silica glass having a low light transmission (less than 20%), which reduces the transmission of solar energy, such as the transmission of near infrared radiation (less than 14%) and, in a greater degree, the transmission of ultraviolet radiation (less than 12%), comprising the following components in weight percentage:

A Green thermo-absorbent glass which includes a basic composition of lime glass, which consists essentially, by weight, of: 0.86 to 0.91% of total iron expressed as Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 ; 23.5 to 26% of Fe.sup.-2 and 0.202 to 0.237% of FeO, expressed as Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 ; a critical amount of 0.15 to 0.18% of SO.sub.3 which does not affects the refining properties and ability of the SO.sub.3 to eliminate bubbles, and in the absence of CeO.sub.2 ; the green glass having a visible light transmission greater than 70%, an ultra-violet radiation transmission greater than 38% and less than 40%, an infra-red radiation transmission greater than 21% and less than 26.5%. and a total solar transmission greater than 41 and less than 47%, without affecting the refining properties and ability of the SO.sub.3 to eliminate bubbles.
