A plug connector assembly includes first and second plug connector parts. The first plug connector part is arranged on a printed circuit board (PCB) and includes first contact elements. The second plug connector part includes a base body and second contact elements held by the base body. The first and second contact elements are connected when the first and second plug connector parts are connected. Stamped/bent parts are positioned on respective sides of the first plug connector part and are connected to the PCB. When the plug connector parts are fully connected, an electrical connection is established between at least one stamped/bent part and a contact element of the second plug connector part, or alternatively, an electrical connection is established between the two stamped-bent parts. The electrical connections in each case are suitable for electronically recognizing and/or monitoring the connection of the plug connector parts.

Plug connector assembly

A plug connector assembly includes a first plug connector part arranged on a printed circuit board (PCB) and a second plug connector part. Stamped/bent parts are positioned next to respective sides of the first plug connector part and are fastened to the PCB. In one variation, each stamped/bent part forms a spring arm, and when the plug connector parts are connected, end sections of the spring arms engage in respective detent recesses (or notches) in a base body of the second plug connector part thereby fixing the plug connector parts together. In another variation, each stamped/bent part has a detent recess, and a base body of the second plug connector part has spring arms on respective sides of the base body which lock with the detent recesses in the stamped/bent parts when the plug connector parts are connected thereby fixing the plug connector parts together.

A sleeve contact includes a base body, a clamping sleeve, and a spring. The base body includes a receiving region. The clamping sleeve displaceable against the base body. The spring has first and second S-curve sections and is mounted at one end to the base body to thereby form a lever having a short lever arm from the end to the first S-curve section and a long lever arm from the end to the second S-curve section. The clamping sleeve acts on the spring as the contact sleeve displaces to produce a contact force towards the receiving region such that the long lever arm is pressed by the clamping sleeve towards the receiving region to thereby cause the short lever arm to bear against a plug contact inserted into the receiving region.

Sleeve contact for an electrical zero-force plug-type connector

A cable assembly includes a coaxial cable and a plug-in connector. The cable has inner and outer conductors and an insulation layer between the conductors. The connector has first and second tubular components. The first tubular component is inserted between the insulation layer and the outer conductor at a free end section of the cable and the second tubular component is connected to the first tubular component and encloses the outer conductor whereby the plug-in connector is connected to the cable. The second tubular component forms a sleeve that opens toward the free end section of the cable.

Plug-in connector for connecting to a coaxial cable

An electrical connector includes two connector parts each having a high-load ('HL') housing with an HL contact and a low-load ('LL') housing with a LL contact. One LL housing is movable relative to the other LL housing. The parts are movable to join and separate from one another. The HL housings join upon the parts joining such that the HL contacts join and establish a HL connection. The LL housings join after the one LL housing moves toward the other LL housing while the parts are joined such that the LL contacts join and establish a LL connection. The LL connection is prevented from being established until the HL connection is established as the LL housings are prevented from joining until the HL housings join. The HL connection is prevented from separating until the LL connection is separated as the HL housings are prevented from separating until the LL housings separate.
