A fastening module for connecting a filter system to an arched connecting surface with openings for a fluid has a connecting housing connectable in fluid communication to the filter system. Rigid individual channel pieces are arranged in the connecting housing and channels extend in the channel pieces. The channels correspond with the openings in the arched connecting surface. The channel pieces have connecting flanges to be connected to the openings in the arched connecting surface. The channel pieces are connected by flexible connecting regions with each other; with the connecting housing; or with each other and with the connecting housing. The fastening module is connected in fluid communication to the inlet region or outlet region of the filter system. A filter module for the filter system has substantially free intake across its cross section and enables an intake manifold-type distribution of a volume flow passing through the filter element.

An air-guiding component for a charged internal combustion engine has an intercooler provided with coolant connectors that is disposed in a housing of the air-guiding component. The housing has at least two housing parts including a basic housing part. The housing is provided with at least one inlet and at least one outlet for charge air and is further provided with at least one passage for the coolant connectors of the intercooler. The intercooler is arranged between the at least one inlet and the at least one outlet so as to be flowed through by the charge air. The housing has housing walls and at least one of the housing walls has at least one corrugation.

An intake pipe for intake gas of an internal combustion engine has an intake pipe channel and a flap unit with a flap shaft and a flap fixedly arranged on the flap shaft. The flap unit alternatingly opens or closes the intake pipe channel. A hollow insert body is disposed in the intake pipe channel, wherein the flap unit is arranged in the insert body and the flap is positioned in a hollow interior of the insert body. The insert body has opposite end faces and the opposite end faces are open. The flap shaft extends through opposite walls of the insert body in a radial direction relative to an insert body axis of the insert body. The insert body is rotatable on the flap shaft. A radial inner circumferential side of the insert body widens toward at least one of the open end faces.

Heat exchanger for cooling a fluid of an internal combustion engine, assembly with at least one heat exchanger and method for manufacturing a heat exchanger

An air intake, especially for internal combustion engines with a V-shaped cylinder arrangement, which is composed of two units (). From the two units () extend the intake ducts (), each associated with one cylinder bank () of the internal combustion engine. By dividing the air intake device into two units (), the unit () can be mounted first on the internal combustion engine, a free space () for the mounting tool being necessary. Then the unit () is placed and bolted on, the air intake ducts () being able to run through the free space () in the hatched area (), since the unit () is already installed. The advantage of this air intake tube configuration is a substantially greater geometric freedom of design.

A switching assembly ( ) having closure elements such as switch valves ( ), for example, for closing intake lines ( ) and an intake manifold ( ) in which the switching assembly is installed. The switching assembly ( ) advantageously is composed of assembly injection-molded valve modules including switch valves ( ) and a frame ( ). Alternatively, the switch valves ( ) may also be injection molded directly in place in the support component ( ). Because it may be pre-assembled, the entire switching assembly ( ) may be easily installed in the intake manifold. In addition, the switching assembly preferably has rotational axes ( ) which lie at a right angle to the alignment of the valves. It is advantageous that each switch valve ( ) has its own rotational axis, thereby avoiding additive tolerances. In this way a part is provided which is economical to produce and which satisfies the sealing requirements for the switching assembly.

An intake pipe ( ) for an internal combustion engine composed of shells ( ) in which the geometry of the joining surfaces ( ) adopts an approximately stepped course in areas with a slight incline relative to to joining force (F). This produces areas with a greater or lesser inclination relative to a joint line ( ) indicating the average inclination of the joining surfaces. This results in areas which can be welded with a high degree of stability because of their considerable incline towards the joining force. These areas can then support areas which are less inclined towards the joining force. This allows the shells ( ) to have strongly curved joining surfaces, which increases the geometric design freedom of the intake pipe and, in particular, makes it possible to manufacture intake pipes with strongly curved intake channels constructed from just two shells.

Intake pipe for an internal combustion engine comprising at least two welded shells

An intake manifold ( ) for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine includes a tubular intake distributor ( ) from which a plurality of long intake tubes ( ) extend and lead to the individual cylinders. By moving the shaft ( ) either rotationally or translationally, the short intake tubes ( ) can be opened or closed. In contrast to arrangements known in the prior art, the control element ( ) has no sealing elements which can catch or jam during assembly. Additionally, the arrangement of the flaps ( ) on a continuous shaft ( ) provides a space-saving apparatus.

Intake manifold for an internal combustion engine

A duct system suitable for use as an intake manifold for an internal combustion engine, including flap valves ( ) for selective opening and closing of the ducts. The positions of the valves are continuously adjustable in order to produce a swirl in the flow of combustion air. To achieve this, a high degree of angular precision is required in the positioning of the valves. Intake manifold manufacturing tolerances need to be compensated during assembly of the valves. A valve adjusting mechanism is provided in mechanical couplings ( ) of the valve linkage between the position adjusting motor ( ) and the flap valves ( ).

An air routing system includes an air filter for cleaning intake air having a clean air outlet a compressor for compressing aspirated intake air an intermediate line connected between the clean air outlet of the filter and the compressor, and an intake module. A suction pipe for the intake air of an internal combustion engine, which has a pressure relieving site in the form a bursting geometry,for backfiring impacts in the suction pipe. In the event of backfiring, the sites of weakness,fail and the bursting geometry is flung into the buffer volume,, as a result of which the energy of the backfiring pressure wave is dissipated. As a result, further damage to the suction pipe is prevented, so that the emergency running properties of the internal combustion engine are retained. The proposed pressure-relieving sites have a high functional reliability, independently of the operating state of the internal combustion engine, particularly of the operating temperature.
