A printer is disclosed having a media unit which can move relative to a printing unit. Until now, difficulties in aligning the media unit in the printer always resulted in a poor printing quality. To rectify this, the disclosed printer provides that the printing unit is designed so that it can move inside the housing, and elements are provided for aligning the printing unit with the media unit so that the printing unit and the media unit can be aligned with one another when the media unit is pushed in the direction of insertion. A resilient element enables the printing unit to be advantageously tensioned, in a manner that equalizes tolerances, against the support of the media unit in an operating position. This enables an advantageous equalization of work tolerances and positional tolerances, and the position of the print head relative to the medium to be printed.

According to the invention, several outward-projecting tongues are formed on the built-in housing part of a parallelepipedal built-in unit and a frame whose inner width is greater than the mounting dimension of the built-in housing, is configured on the front panel that is to be fixed on the built-in housing part. Grooves which are allocated to the tongues and corresponding sliding surfaces are formed on the interior of the frame, the grooves and surfaces cooperating with certain elasticity in the frame to form a one-way snap-on connection.

Arrangement for connecting a device's front panel

An adapter system for mounting a built-in device () in an installation space () in accordance with DIN ISO 7736 compensates for vertical and horizontal play between the installation space () and the built-in device (). Previously known solutions have the common disadvantage that the production and storage of the adapter system imply high costs, plays are not adequately compensated for, vibrations are insufficiently dampened and assembly is complicated. These disadvantages are solved in that the adapter system has at least two separate partial elements () which embrace the built-in device () on two opposite sides in an U-shaped manner. Hence, the disadvantages encountered in prior art with respect to high costs and the high emergence of vibrations and simplifies assembly are solved.

Adapter system

A housing is disclosed which may be used for a tachograph. The housing includes a battery holder and at least one fastening element arranged to fasten the battery holder to the housing. With the housing it is possible to mount a battery in an exchangeable manner while preventing the possibility of manipulating the components inside the housing during a changing of the battery. When the battery holder is mounted on the housing, the fastening element can only be accessed from the inside of the housing.

Housing

A connection of two components is disclosed that abut on the faces thereof. With this connection, it is possible to create a stable connection, particularly of flat components, with a high level of precision of the position with regard to one another and with a preferred accessibility in the space around the plane extending from the adjacent adjoining faces of the components. Both components each have a half borehole with encircling collars; a fastening device that extends through the complete borehole and a nut having a conical recess which rests tightly against the collars so that the first component is fastened to the second component in a positive manner. It is further possible to provide a fastening of guiding elements to a middle base support that, in essence, overlaps the support at least occasionally and is effected by the connection.

Connection

In the case of an electronic built-in device with a front wall and a built-in housing part comprising a cover, a base, side walls and a rear wall, and also with a printed circuit board, arranged transversely in relation to the rear wall, connected to at least two housing elements of the built-in housing part and carrying the electronic subassemblies and components of the built-in device and also a plug socket, the access to the contacts of the plug socket aligned parallel to the printed circuit board taking place through a clearance provided on the rear wall of the built-in housing part, it is provided that guiding surfaces are formed on the plug socket at right angles to the direction of the plug-in contacts of the plug socket, that the guiding surfaces of the plug socket are assigned within the built-in housing part a guide parallel to the rear wall, without any play, and that the diameters of the through-holes provided in the printed circuit board and serving for fastening the printed circuit board in the built-in housing part by means of screws are larger than the shank diameters of the screws used, by an amount corresponding substantially to the sum of the production tolerances of the components to be joined together.
