A clip- or sheath-type holder includes a partial plug-in part and a snap-on part for housing a combination of small parts or individual accessories for the vacuum cleaner. The holder is permanently fixed to the bow of a tubular handle such that the user has all the accessories at hand and can easily interchange the accessories. The combination of accessories is inserted into the housing body on one side and is snapped into place by a pivoting motion such that it is fixed on all sides.

A household appliance, particularly a vacuum cleaner, has a housing of rigid material and formed with at least two interconnected housing parts and a handle that is also made of a rigid material. The household appliance is rendered especially rigid and the risk of losing grip of the handle of the appliance is reduced by integrating the handle into a stiffening element that is disposed at the intersection of the housing parts and by providing the handle with a cover that is made of a softer material.

A vacuum cleaner includes a dust collection compartment inside of which a dust bag with a reinforcing plate, which has a clip connected to the underside thereof, can be placed. The clip tapers toward the bottom in the shape of a funnel or trapezoid and is suited for insertion into a correspondingly configured fixture. The fixture has lateral guide elements that guide the reinforcing plate when pushed in. The configuration enables the dust bag to be easily inserted into the dust collection compartment without the involving the difficult placement inside a guide profile.

A vacuum cleaner nozzle having a housing at which a pivoting terminal connecting piece is attached for connecting a guide suction pipe. A spoiler-shaped surface on at least one side of the nozzle housing, which protrudes over the contour of the nozzle housing and tapers to a point at its free end, eliminates the need to separately lift a loose rug to be able to clean at least the border region covered by the rug.

After the release of the locking element the cable drum may be driven in the winding-in direction by a drive. The release of the locking element occurs by an electrically-operated release mechanism.
