The torsional vibration damper acting between a drive and a housing of a hydrodynamic clutch arrangement includes a flywheel mass element, a drive-side damping element having a first side connected nonrotatably to the flywheel mass element, a takeoff-side damping element, the second side of the drive-side damping element being connected by elastic elements to the takeoff-side damping element for rotation in common, the elastic elements also allowing a small rotation of the drive-side damping element relative to the takeoff-side damping element, and an axially flexible drive plate. The takeoff-side damping element can be connected to the housing of the hydrodynamic clutch arrangement nonrotatably but with a certain freedom of axial movement by means of the drive plate.

Torsional vibration damper for a hydrodynamic clutch arrangement

The torsional vibration damper includes a drive-side damping element arranged nonrotatably with respect to a flywheel mass element fastened to the drive, and a takeoff-side damping element, which is centered and axially positioned by the flywheel mass element and which is in functional connection with a takeoff. The drive-side damping element is connected to the takeoff-side damping element via elastic elements.

A hydrodynamic clutch arrangement is provided with at least a pump wheel and a turbine wheel to form a hydrodynamic circuit in a clutch housing, the drive-side wall of the housing being connected on the side facing the drive unit, such as an internal combustion engine, to the drive unit, a clutch device being provided to bring the housing into or out of working connection with the pump wheel. The clutch device is located inside the clutch housing.

A torque converter which has a pump wheel, a turbine wheel, and a stator, which form a hydrodynamic circuit, and also a torsional vibration damper with a primary and a secondary damper element. The primary and the secondary damper element are connected to each other in a rotationally elastic manner by at least one set of springs. The turbine wheel has a turbine wheel shell and is supported rotatably with respect to a turbine wheel hub in a first bearing, which provides axial and radial support. The secondary damper element is mounted nonrotatably on the turbine wheel hub. The turbine wheel acts by way of an intermediate element on the primary damper element. The stator is mounted on a stator hub, which is supported by an axially operative second bearing on a turbine wheel base, which is connected to the turbine wheel shell. The first bearing is located radially outside the second bearing.

Torque converter

A hydrodynamic torque converter is provided with a converter housing to hold at least one pump wheel, one turbine wheel, and one stator to form a hydrodynamic circuit and with at least one axial bearing arrangement for supporting the stator. At least one support element has a bearing side which rests against the axial bearing arrangement, and a stator side which rests against a component of the stator and is designed with at least one flow passage for viscous medium, which forms a connection between at least one flow conduit and the hydrodynamic circuit. The flow passage has a flow bed and, contiguous with that, at least one boundary wall, which leads from the flow bed to the axial level of the corresponding support element side. The bearing side of the support element is essentially flat and the stator side is provided with at least one flow passage, in the extension area of which a stiffener is provided, which produces at least a partial connection between the flow bed of the flow passage and the at least one boundary wall.
