A support tab projects beyond the first front edge. The second protection element () has second holding projections () circumferentially distributed on its outer circumference close to the second front edge. The second holding projections () project beyond the outer circumference and form, at least over a first circumferential edge area close to the second front edge, a second groove. An undercut portion is formed over a second circumferential edge area distanced to the second front edge. The third protection element () has holding portions at both ends. The holding portions include a number of first through holes () or second through holes, respectively. The through holes engage the holding projections (), corresponding in number to the first holding projections () and second holding projections ().

A protection arrangement for a joint (), especially a double universal joint driving or in drives of agricultural devices and self-propelled implements, has a tube-like first protection element () with a first axial end () and a second axial end. A second plastic protection element () is formed as a hollow body. A hydraulic lift device for an attaching device of a tractor which has a hydraulic pressure supply device and a hydraulic tank, comprising for each of two lower steering arms, a double acting hydraulic cylinder having a cylinder housing, a piston rod, a piston with a piston-end piston area and a piston rod-end piston area, as well as a piston-end cylinder chamber and a piston rod-end cylinder chamber. The device further comprises a first switching valve, which has at least three switching positions and four ports. The first port represents a connection to the pressure supply device. The second port represents the connection to the hydraulic tank. The third port represents the connection to the piston-end cylinder chamber of the first hydraulic cylinder and the fourth port represents the connection to the piston rod-end cylinder chamber of the second hydraulic chamber. The piston rod-end cylinder chamber of the first hydraulic cylinder is connected via a line to the piston-end cylinder chamber of the second hydraulic cylinder. The piston rod-end piston area of the first hydraulic cylinder and the piston-end piston area of the second hydraulic cylinder have the same size or a predetermined size relationship to each other.

Hydraulic lift device for an attaching device

A device for setting the length of a top rink ( ) of an attaching device of a tractor ( ) has a piston/cylinder unit ( ) for length setting purposes. The piston/cylinder ( ) has a displacement sensor ( ) which records the respective actual length setting of the top link ( ). The displacement sensor ( ) generates an actual proportional length signal. A lift position sensor ( ) is provided which generates an electric signal representing the respective actual lift position of the lower steering arms ( ). A nominal length setting of the top link ( ), which refers to the respective actual lift position, can be stored in a storage unit ( ). When a new actual lift position is reached during the automatic mode of operation, it is possible to generate an electric control signal which corresponds to the nominal length setting of the top link ( ). The signal is transmitted to the comparator of a control unit ( ). The comparator compares the control signal with the actual length signal. The control unit controls the piston/cylinder ( ) as a function of the deviation of the signals from one another, towards a nominal length setting. In this way it is possible, automatically, to achieve optimum kinematics for an implement attached to a tractor, without any outside interference.

Device for setting the length of a top link of an attaching device of a tractor

A side strut ( ) for a lower steering arm of a tractor has a single-action hydraulic cylinder with a cylinder housing ( ) and a piston ( ). The piston includes a hollow cylinder ( ) with a base ( ). In the hollow cylinder ( ), a rod-shaped element ( ) is adjustable against the force of a spring from a moved-in position into a moved-out position. Because the piston ( ) and the setting element ( ) move in the same direction, it is possible to achieve a telescopic design which leads to a short installation length which, in turn, results in a more advantageous buckling strength.

A lifting device for lower steering arms of a tractor has a position recording device (,). The position recording device (,) generates a position signal representing the pivot position of the lower steering arms (,). A piston-cylinder unit (,) acts on the tractor and on the lower steering arm (,). A switching circuit is provided per piston-cylinder unit (,). The switching circuit includes a directional valve (,&prime;) with four ports and four switching positions. In a first position of the directional valve (,&prime;) all ports are blocked. In a second position, the cylinder chamber at the piston end is connected to the pressure agent supply source and the cylinder chamber at the piston rod end is connected to the return line. In a third position, the cylinder chamber at the piston rod end is connected to the pressure agent supply source and the cylinder chamber at the piston end is connected to the return line. In a fourth position, both cylinder chambers are connected to the return line. A switching unit (,&prime;) is provided with a guiding value (F). The guiding value (F) corresponds to the nominal position of the lower steering arm (,). A position signal originates from the position recording device (,&prime;) and represents the respective position of the lower steering arm. A comparator compares the guiding value (F) with the position signal. The switching unit (,&prime;), as a function of the result of the comparison, causes the directional valve (,&prime;) to occupy one of the four positions.

Lifting device for the lower steering arms of an attaching device of a tractor

A device for setting the length of a top link (,) of an attaching device of a tractor (,) has a piston/cylinder unit (,) for length setting purposes. In this way it is possible, automatically, to achieve optimum kinematics for an implement attached to a tractor, without any outside interference.

A side strut (5) for a lower steering arm (1) of a tractor has a single action hydraulic cylinder (9) whose piston (12) includes first attaching means (6) to be connected to the rear of the tractor. The strut (5) also has a telescopic unit (10) and a setting unit (11). The hydraulic cylinder (9), the telescopic unit (10) and the setting unit (11) are arranged, one behind the other on a longitudinal axis (20). The setting unit serves to achieve a categorical setting and the telescopic unit (10) serves to offset the change in the length of the side strut (5) when the lower steering arm is deflected sideways.

A lifting rod for the lower steering arm of a tractor, at the ends of the lifting rod, has connecting elements in the form of a connecting yoke 6 and a ball joint 7. The connecting yoke 6, via a threaded rod 9, is threaded into a threaded bore 10 of a tubular rod element 11. The rod element 11 is received in the housing bore 21 of the housing 8 and is movable along the longitudinal axis 17. The rod element 11 and the housing 8 are able to assume two different positions relative to one another, with the lifting rod length being fixed in one of the two positions. In the other position, both may assume a floating relationship relative to one another. To allow the lifting rod length to be set even when the lifting rod is in the mounted condition and to ensure that both parts do not change their respective positions even when in use, it is proposed that in the rigid position, the plug-in pin 24 engages a recess 13 in the rod element, so that support is provided in the shortening direction and in the direction of rotation, whereas for the direction of extraction stops are provided to prevent any lengthening. After the plug-in pin 24 has been extracted, the rod element 11 can be turned by 90.degree., to enable the plug-in pin to pass through the slot 14 in the rod element 11. The lifting rod length is shortened, however rotation is prevented.

Lifting rod for the three-point attaching device of a tractor

A coupling and centering device is attached to a journal (38) of a carrying frame (37) of an agricultural implement. The coupling and centering device has a catching ball (7) and a catching profile (14). The catching profile (14) has a sleeve (15) and a catching plate (25) which are connected to one another. The sleeve (15), in the fitted condition, enters a bore step (12) of the catching ball. The catching plate (25) is arranged relative to the sleeve (15) such that the transverse bore (19), for receiving the lynch pin, is arranged in the region of the wall of the catching plate (25). Thus, in view of a predetermined length of the journal (38) and the provision of the fixing bore (39), the greatest possible guiding length of the sleeve (15) is achieved on the journal (38). In this way, the strength of the connection is affected positively.

A coupling device for a tractor has a frame (4) which is mounted on the rear underside (3) of the tractor (1). A drawbar (14), with a coupling member (15), is guided in the frame (4). The drawbar (14) is moved by a slide (18) and can be swung sideways about a vertical axis. Centering pieces (34) and stop blocks with centering faces (35) and stop faces (38) engage one another to laterally align and fix the drawbar (14). In a lower position the drawbar facilitates lateral swivelling movement about the connecting pin (22). In an upper towing position the drawbar (14) is laterally fixed by the centering pieces (34) and the stop blocks (38). This results in improved control of the coupling members associated with the to be towed implement through lateral alignment of the drawbar and its automatic transfer into its centered position.

Coupling device for attaching towable implements to a tractor

The invention relates to an three-point coupling device (3) for connecting a tractor to an implement (4). Two lower hitch arms (5, 5a) have been provided with catching hooks (7, 7a). An upper hitch arm (8) has also been provided with a catching hook (11). The lower hitch arms (5, 5a) may be raised or lowered by a power drive via lifting bars (10, 10a) and lifting arms (9, 9a). The upper hitch arm (8) is suspended from a holding device (20, 20a) which is associated with the lifting bars (10, 10a). As a result, the upper hitch arm (8) may be moved jointly with the lower hitch arms (5, 5a) upon actuation of the power drive which moves the lifting arms (9, 9a) and the lifting bar (10, 10a). It is no longer necessary for the tractor driver to hold the upper hitch arm (8) himself and place it on the upper coupling point (14) of the implement (4).
