A device for folding printing copies in a web-fed rotary printing machine includes a folding knife, controls for reciprocatingly moving the folding knife at least approximately in one plane, the controls including a first and a second toggle lever, which, at one of the ends thereof, respectively, are movably attached to frame-fixed parts of the printing machine and at the other ends thereof, respectively, are movably attached to the folding knife, and a rotary element simultaneously actable upon both the first and the second toggle levers for operating the controls; a folder including the folding device; and an assembly including the folder with the folding device.

An offset printing press having a plate cylinder and, as viewed in a direction of rotation of the plate cylinder, a first applicator roller assigned to a dampening unit and a second applicator roller to an inking unit, a bridge roller in contact with the first and second applicator rollers, and a roller in contact with the first applicator roller for selectively driving the first applicator roller at the circumferential speed of the plate cylinder and at a different speed, includes a drive connection of the bridge roller so formed that, when the first applicator roller is driven at a circumferential speed different from that of the plate cylinder, the bridge roller is drivable at the circumferential speed of the plate cylinder.

It is the object of the invention to provide a simple folding device rotating at high speed, the folding device producing a longitudinal fold without any sliding guidance device or reverse-motion device, and in which during the folding the folding blade executes a movement of stroke, perpendicular in every direction, towards the printed copy.

A device for measuring a printing control strip printed on sheet or web material by optical devices located within a printing machine having a plurality of printing units disposed one behind the other, including a measuring cylinder located behind a last one of the printing units and having an outer cylindrical surface portion whereover printed sheet or web material is looped, the optical devices being disposed within the measuring cylinder below a location at which a printing control strip on the material is positionable, as the material is looped over the outer cylindrical surface portion of the measuring cylinder, for measuring the printing control strip.

Measurement device in a rotary printing machine

A device is for connecting the ends of a toothed belt having a plurality of longitudinal reinforcing cords. The device includes a connecting element having at least two interconnected lock parts. Each of the interconnected lock parts has a plurality of holes for respectively receiving an end of one of the reinforcing cords therein. Each of the ends of the reinforcing cords is connected with the lock parts by being force-locked within the hole.
