The present invention provides a mechanical interface apparatus () for a motor drive unit () in motor vehicles, in particular in a motor vehicle door, which is firmly connected to the drive unit () and has holding and guide devices () for holding a control or plug unit (), with a cut-out (), which passes all the way through, being formed between the interface apparatus () and the drive unit () in order to pass through at least one plug contact (), a component mount () or the like for the control or plug unit (); and with at least two guide devices () being provided in or close to the drive unit () for guiding the plug contacts () and/or the component mounts () or various control or plug units () of this type.

Mechanical interfaced system

During the positioning of a control device for controlling an electromechanical drive, contact elements, which are connected to the control device in a fixed manner, are positioned in relation to one or more openings in a connector collar. To position the control device, the latter is displaced into a predetermined position. The predetermined position is defined, for example, by a guide or a stop. The contact elements are a component of an electric and/or optical junction which connects the drive device to other functional units, for example to a door control device or a motor vehicle battery. To position the contact elements in the connector collar of a connecting element which lies on the side of the drive device in the junction, the contact elements are positioned in relation to openings in the connector collar by being displaced together with the control device into the predetermined position. The positioning operation can be automated by a machine, for example by means of corresponding orientation indicators in the drive housing.

Electromechanical drive device and method for manufacture thereof

An electro-mechanical drive device for adjustment devices of a motor vehicle, more particularly for a window lifter, has a gearing with a gear housing, an electric motor mechanically connected to the gearing, a control device mounted in the gearing housing and having at least one power semi-conductor for controlling the electric motor, and means as a heat sink thermally coupled to the power semi-conductor to draw off the waste heat from the power semi-conductor. The means which as heat sink draws off the waste heat from the power semi-conductor is integrated in the gear housing. With the integration of the means for drawing off the waste heat into the gear housing it is possible for the means to undertake further mechanical or thermal functions extending beyond the function as heat sink.

Electromechanical drive device

The invention relates to a process for detecting the position and direction of movement and for detecting the dynamic characteristic values of remote-controlled displacements of an adjustable object. According to the invention a signal is detected and evaluated which is solely made up of a system-characteristic signal or the overlapping of several system-characteristic signals. The aim is to achieve a high dissolution of the aforesaid values which are to be detected without using additional sensor or transmitter elements whilst incurring only small production costs.

An electric actuating bolt motor with a gear unit for use in a motor vehicle, the motor including a shaft rotatably supported in a motor housing and a toothed part arranged externally of the housing, and further including a bearing shield, an attachment flange and an aperture side wall which embraces the toothed part, the bearing shield also having an end wall in whose region a bearing area for the shaft is provided. The bearing shield prevents damage to the shaft and the toothed part of the actuating motor prior to its assembly with the gear unit.

A window-lifter drive unit for a cable-window lifter which includes a housing in which a worm gear as well as a cable drum taken along by the worm gear are provided between two mutually opposite wall parts. A bearing bolt 40 is supported with one end thereof in one of the two wall parts and at the other end thereof in the other wall part by way of a bearing bushing. The cable drum is retained at the outer circumference of the bearing bushing; a circumferential collar of the bearing bushing forms a securing member against pulling off the cable drum from the bearing bushing. Combined with a simple construction and low manufacturing costs, a partial unit including the worm gear as well as the bearing bolt can be separated without difficulty from a partial unit including the cable drum as well as the bearing bushing which facilitates assembly and repair work.

Window lifter-drive unit, especially for a cable-window lifter

A safety belt system comprising a belt displacer for a belt which is so constructed as to transport a section of the safety belt between a retracted position and a seizing position for purposes of facilitating fastening of the belt, is provided for its use with a three-point safety belt, in which the belt ends are attached at the seat bearer respectively at the seat on one side of the seat and run over a belt base point and a belt shoulder point. The belt displacer includes a belt deflection element which within the area between the belt ends engages at the belt and is displaceable along the belt. In the seizing position of the belt displacer, the belt buckle to be inserted into the belt lock is arranged within the area of the belt deflection element and can therefore be easily reached. As soon as the belt buckle is inserted into the belt lock, the belt displacer travels back into the retracted position.

Displacement entrainment and unlocking members for a passive safety belt

An adjustment drive apparatus particularly for motor vehicles having coaxial rotatably supported driving and driven members with a helical spring which is braced against the inner circumferential surface of a hollow cylindrical element coaxial with these members operating to effect drive transmission therebetween. One of the members has a first claw or driver connection member rigidly affixed thereto, the claw member pressing against one of the ends of the helical spring to effect an extension or enlargement of the spring when relative rotation occurs between the spring and the claw member. The hollow cylindrical element within which the helical spring is located is affixed for rotation with the other of the driving and driven members. An auxiliary driving member is provided which, when activated, will cause the spring to be disengaged so that the driven member may be rotated through the auxiliary driving member.

Rotary drive transmission mechanism especially for motor vehicles

A drive unit for winding and unwinding a transport cable for a safety belt includes a motor driven take-up roll positioned within a housing and rotatable about a winding axis. The take-up roll has a radially outwardly facing surface encircling the winding axis. A casing encloses the take-up roll and has a radially inwardly facing surface spaced outwardly from the radially outwardly facing surface. When the cable is wound into the housing it winds onto the radially outwardly facing surface and when it is unwound it contacts the radially inwardly facing surface on the casing. The radially inwardly facing surface is frusto-conical in the direction of the winding axis with the larger diameter portion of the surface located closer to the opening from the housing through which the cable passes. Adjacent its larger diameter end, the radially inwardly facing surface has a circumferentially and radially extending step for preventing bending or kinking of the cable.

Drive unit for a transport cable

A device for driving a rope-like power transmission member for a window lifting mechanism, such as in a motor vehicle, includes a casing with a worm rotatably supported within the casing, a worm gear in the casing and in engagement with the worm and an electric motor driving the worm. A rope drum is positioned within the casing and a coupling part interconnects the drum and the worm gear. The casing has an opening for moving the rope out of the casing. A sealing plate is located between the worm gear and the coupling part and divides the interior of the casing into a first partial space containing the worm and worm gear and a second partial space containing the drum and the coupling part. The sealing plate is arranged in form-locking engagement with the worm gear and it has an annular area facing toward the drum which is in contact with an annular area on the inner surface of the casing.

Electric drive, particularly for a window lifting mechanism in a motor

An electrical window lift drive especially for use in a motor vehicle, includes a drive housing, an electric motor attached to the housing having a shaft extending into the interior of the housing. A worm gear is mounted on the motor shaft for rotation thereby. A worm wheel is mounted for independent rotation coaxially with respect to a first portion of a bearing shaft inside the housing on a member intermediate the bearing shaft and the wheel. The bearing shaft is supported in the housing on both sides of the worm wheel and extends transversely of the motor shaft. The worm wheel meshes with and is driven by the worm gear. A drive member is mounted coaxially with respect to a second portion of the bearing shaft, and means are provided intermediate the worm gear and the drive member for transferring rotary motion of the worm gear to the drive member.

Window lift drive

In a window lifter, an electric motor drives a window lifting arm via a gear arrangement. The gear arrangement includes a pinion interconnected with a larger diameter gear with both rotatably mounted on a pin. The pin is secured at one end to a base plate and at its other end to a stirrup. The pinion bears against the base plate, the stirrup extends outwardly from diametrically opposite sides of the gear and is connected at its ends outwardly from the gear to the base plate.
