Synchronous machine having control coils for compensating mechanical

A polyphase alternating current motor has in addition to a main winding that can be connected to a voltage source, a auxiliary winding arranged in the stator, such that at least one condenser is connected to both windings per phase. A decrease in condenser size while at the same time improving the degree of effectiveness is possible by virtue of the fact that the main and auxiliary windings are arranged in such a way as to yield an increase and phase leading of the voltage adjacent to the condenser. The condensers are connected to the windings in such a way that only capacitative leakage current flows in the auxiliary winding and the geometrical total of active and leakage current flow in the main current.

Polyphase alternating current motor

A switchable arrangement for at least three different operating states is made possible with a minimum number of external winding terminals and a switching device as simple as possible, and current heating of the entire winding as uniform as possible. In the starting-up stages with free adaptation of the inrush current reduction and far-reaching avoidance of disturbing field harmonics is provided. The machine impedance is increased over the normal operating stage by the provision that in the normal operating stage the parallel connected winding branches assigned to a leg are separated and are assigned to different branches, remain without current in part in individual stages and/or are operated with partly different direction of excitation.

Circuit and winding arrangement for a multiphase electric rotating field

An armature winding is provided for an induction machine with an odd phase number m.gtoreq.5 which has m connection points for its winding sections to a converter. Connections to the converter are made that first and second (m-1)/2 phase windings have current flow in opposite directions and the remaining phase winding advances outwards in electrical angle steps of (.pi./m). A higher pulse number and thus good concentricity characteristics with high machine efficiency can be attained with star or polygonal circuits of the phase windings, and an improved optimal adjustment of the load-bearing capacity of the most varying electronic components can be attained by the polygonal circuitry having multiple rings of the phase windings.

Armature winding for a static converter-fed electrical induction machine

A rotor for an electrical machine having standard axial cooling channels extending the length of the rotor, feeding regularly spaced radial cooling channels. The cooling distribution of the air flow coming into the rotor from the frontal sides is improved by blocking off some of the flow into the central radial channels, which in standard designs are excessively cooled, and thereby forcing the air flow to cool other radial channels better. By more evenly distributing the cooling air flow, less air flow is required, thereby saving energy. The invention is readily adaptable to various rotor configurations.

For the desired pole-pair number combination p.sub.1 /p.sub.2 always those coils are omitted from the individual phases of the first pole-pair number p.sub.2, which form overlapping phase bands for the second pole-pair number in the coil side star; the remaining coils of each phase for 2p.sub.1 are distributed symmetrically along the periphery and in accordance with ##EQU1## over the base-speed winding connected in three-phase wye/three-phase wye configuration and the dead winding branches N.sub.1, connected in parallel or in series to it, for the first pole-pair number p.sub.1, whereby at least a large portion of the omitted coils is configured as additional dead branches for the second pole-pair number p.sub.2.

Pole-changing three-phase winding for optional, fractional pole-pair

A three-phase winding for numbers of poles 2p=4 comprises 'with' and 'counter' coil groups which are arranged asymmetrically and connected in series in such a way that there is no change of the maximum voltage present at the phase transitions, where this maximum voltage is determined for numbers of pole pairs 2p=6 by the sum of the absolute values of the adjacent potentials .vertline.U.sub.1 .vertline.+.vertline.U.sub.2 .vertline.=(3p-1) U.sub.SG with a corresponding minimum value of U.sub.1,2 =(p-1) U.sub.SG where U.sub.SG is the coil group voltage. The six winding ends (U, V, and W; X, Y and Z) are arranged physically side-by-side within a pole pair, and, in general, at most only four or six wiring connections need to be installed, only at two short respective circumference zones side-by-side.

Three-phase winding for a high-voltage machine

A three phase winding for a high voltage machine with Y connected legs, whose coil groups, disposed on the circumference so as to be cyclically distributed, consist of series connected coils alternatingly energized in the opposite sense, has its size and copper requirements reduced by providing as many coil groups with the same direction of the magnetic flux and direction of increase in potential as there are coil groups of opposite direction of the magnetic flux and direction of increase in potential with the groups so distributed over the circumference and interconnected lengthwise that, at most, the phase voltage is applied to the phase transitions between adjacent coil sides.

Three phase winding for high voltage machines with y-connected phases

In an induction and universal motor combined in a common lamination stack and supplied from a single phase line in line with a single armature winding system common to universal commutator motor as well as to induction motor operation, there are connected to the same segments of the commutator a crossed lap winding and an uncrossed lap winding, the coil span of which corresponds approximately to one pole pitch of the low pole and, in particular, two pole commutator stator winding and to an uneven integral multiple of the high pole induction motor stator winding, to provide a motor particularly suited for driving automatic washing machines.

The present invention relates to a pole-changeable three-phase winding for p.sub.1 :p.sub.2 =(3m.+-.1)/3n (m and n being integers). This eliminates coils for the primary pole pair number p.sub.1 in the base winding branches and the parallel-connected null winding branches which are active only in this level. The same number of additional coils with reduced turn number are additionally series-connected between the terminals of the secondary pole pair number p.sub.2, so that at constant effective turn number w.sub.1 times the winding factor .xi..sub.1 a reduction of the copper losses is achieved.

Pole changeable three phase winding

A pole changeable three phase winding for a fractional pole pair ratio p.sub.1 :p.sub.2 = (3m .+-. 1)/3n with p.sub.2 = 3n being an integral multiple of the number of phases and m and n being positive integers. Each phase winding for the first number of poles 2p.sub.1 consists of 2p.sub.1 /t equal winding branches, of which a number G, divisible by three, of so-called base winding-branches carry current for the first number of poles 2p.sub.1 and for the second number of poles 2p.sub.2, where one third of each of the base winding branches, for the second number of poles 2p.sub.2, are assigned to all three phase windings. The remaining number N of winding branches are designed as zero branches which are ineffective for the second number of poles 2p.sub.2, so that a division into G base winding branches and N zero branches according to G + N = 2p.sub.1 /t takes place, where t is an integral divisor of 2p.sub.1.

In order to obtain any number of poles in the ratio p.sub.1 : p.sub.2 = 3m : 2n in a pole changeable three phase winding having nine base winding branches and only six connecting points with a simple, symmetrical, low harmonic content winding, three equiphasal induced coil sides belonging to the same phase of the winding are arranged such that for a pole pair number p.sub.2 they are located in three respective slots appearing as vectors with the same direction in the p.sub.2 pole pair slot-vector star or, in the case of at least two coils being arranged in each slot layer, two of every three such equiphasal induced coils belonging to the same phase for a pole number p.sub.2 are accommodated in a common slot with the third in a second slot appearing as a vector with the same direction in the p.sub.2 -pole pair slot-vector star.

Changeable pole three phase winding

In a brushless synchronous generator with an exciter, in which the three phase armature winding of the generator is coupled through a series regulator to the field winding of the exciter, and in which the rotating armature of the exciter feeds the rotating field winding for the synchronous generator through rectifiers, the series regulator being coupled in series between the three phase windings of the generator and the field winding of the exciter and including a control element, and in which there is a bypass diode across the exciter field winding, in order to protect the control element, a protective device is disposed between the control element and the three phase winding and an overvoltage arrester is placed in parallel across the exciter field winding and the bypass diode, the overvoltage arrester operating if an overvoltage occurs, thereby causing increased current to be drawn to actuate the protective device in series with the control element thereby preventing the synchronous generator from reaching dangerous overvoltages if defects occur in the regulator.

Brushless synchronous generator with an exciter

A two layer cord winding for a three phase electric machine in which each of the three winding circuits comprise coils with a number of turns which fill a slot layer along with other coils which have a reduced number of turns and do not fill a whole slot layer. In slots wherein the coils with a reduced number of turns are located, the remaining space is filled by a coil with reduced turns from another of the three circuits of the three phase machine.
