A vehicle wheel has a wheel rim with a radially inwardly positioned mounting surface and rim flanges connected axially to opposite ends of the the mounting surface. A pneumatic vehicle tire with a carcass including at least one carcass ply is provided. The pneumatic vehicle tire has a tread and two sidewalls. The pneumatic vehicle tire is mounted on the inner mounting surface of the wheel rim so as to substantially enclose the mounting surface of the wheel rim. The rim flanges have a radially outwardly projecting end portion serving as axial contact surfaces for a respective one of the sidewalls.

Vehicle wheel with beadless pneumatic vehicle tire

A pneumatic vehicle tire having a belt and a radial carcass. Located laterally outwardly in the bead region are end portions of the carcass ply or plies which are guided upwardly, i.e. radially outwardly. Bead reinforcers are also provided. In order to achieve a great dynamic resilience along with sufficient stiffness of the bead regions, it is proposed pursuant to the present invention that the filaments of the bead reinforcers, and the strength carriers of the end portions of the carcass, be disposed at opposite inclines relative to the radial direction. Furthermore, in the vicinity of their outer ends, these filaments and strength carriers form a smaller angle with the circumferential direction of the tire than do those portions thereof in the bead core region, so that these reinforcing inserts are thus disposed in such a way that they extend in a curved manner.

Pneumatic vehicle tire

A pneumatic tire for a vehicle wheel, according to which in the hollow chamber of the pneumatic tire there is arranged a hollow emergency ring or an emergency tube with one or more peripheral protrusions having running-up flanks which when moving into the respective flattened effective surface are substantially located in the elongation of an imaginary secant determined by the respective flattened effective surface.

Pneumatic tire for a vehicle wheel

A belt for a belted tire with an inner continuous layer and with an outer layer divided into two marginal sections and an intermediate section. The strength carriers of the inner belt layer extend over the width thereof in one direction and at a first angle with regard to the circumferential direction of the belt. The strength carriers of the intermediate section of the outer layer extend only over the width of the intermediate section and at the same angle as the first mentioned angle but in an opposite direction to the strength members of the inner belt layer. The strength members of the marginal sections extending in the same direction as the strength members of the intermediate section but at a smaller angle with regard the circumferential direction of the belt than the angle at which the strength members of the outer belt layer extend. The marginal areas of the inner belt layer as well as the marginal sections of the outer belt layer folded over the adjacent areas of the intermediate belt section of the outer belt layer. Prior to applying the belt to the carcass of a raw tire, the diameter of the belt is extended by from 5 to 25%.

Belt for belted tires and method of making same

A bead core for pneumatic tires which is composed of wires, cables, cords or similar thread-shaped strength carriers wound to form a plurality of windings. These windings are formed by successive coils or spiral sections of a continuous strength carrier. The bead core furthermore includes one or more additional windings respectively formed by rings closed in themselves.

A bead core for pneumatic tires which is composed of a plurality of annular or coil shaped sections of wires, cables or cords. These sections which are of substantially the same size and dimensions interlock each other by each section passing at least once through another section.
