A temperature switch assembly which includes a bimetal element inserted into a holder body and secured in place by a mating shell is presented. The holder body is constructed so that it may be screwed into existing bore holes of the vessel or engine. The bimetal element is formed with tangs on its base so that expansion and contraction effects due to temperature changes are compensated thus ensuring calibration of temperature switch over prolonged usage. The mating shell includes a switch contact. When the bimetal element reaches a predetermined temperature, the bimetal element makes contact with the switch contact and completes the circuit. The circuit is connected to a warning device which is actuated when the circuit is completed.

Bi-metal temperature switch

A pressure sender is provided with a variable electrical resistance corresponding to a sensed pressure, to be placed in series with a voltage source and a pressure gauge. The pressure sender is diaphragm-actuated, which diaphragm controls the positioning of an electrical contact against a ceramic thick film rheostat. An electrically conductive metal clip secures the rheostat in position as well as completes the electrical connection between the rheostat and the electrical circuit of which the pressure sender is a part. The electrical contact is rockingly mounted so that deflection of the diaphragm displaces the electrical contact through an arcuate travel path along various resistance positions of the thick film ceramic rheostat. Current from the electrical circuit will flow through the metal clip to input contacts of the rheostat, and then to the resistance positions. The lower the pressure being sensed, the farther away from the input contacts will the electrical contact contact the resistance positions so that lower pressure will result in higher resistance of the pressure sender. By monitoring this resistance, the pressure being sensed can be determined.

Pressure sender

A beverage dispenser valve assembly for dispensing a beverage mixed from a pressurized citrus concentrate containing pulp and a diluent. The valve assembly includes a body having a concentrate passageway with a valving chamber having a flexible diaphragm therein for controlling concentrate flow therethrough. The diaphragm sealingly separates the concentrate valving chamber into an air pressure region and a concentrate region. A compressed air line is connected to the fluid pressure region through a solenoid controlled three-way, valve which valve can maintain pressure on the diaphragm to hold it closed or alternatively vent the pressure to atmosphere, allowing the diaphragm to open under the pressure of the concentrate.

An improved disconnect arrangement for a beverage dispenser valve assembly prevents disconnection of the valve assembly until the carbonated water and beverage syrup disconnect valves in the mounting block are closed thereby preventing accidental removal of the dispensing valve from the mounting block while the syrup and carbonated water are being supplied to the dispensing valve under pressure. Stops on the retainer assembly prevent the inlet valves from being opened beyond the optimum intake position to assure uniform metering of the syrup and carbonated water by the dispenser valve.

A valve arrangement for a liquid flavoring additive under pressure, particularly a non-homogeneous liquid such as high pulp orange juice concentrate, utilizes a fluid pressure to assist in terminating discharge of the liquid flavoring. The fluid pressure may be achieved by utilizing the same compressed air utilized to force the liquid flavoring through the valve structure. Suitable controls, such as a three-way valve, may be utilized to apply the pressurized air to a diaphragm on which a valve member is carried when the valve is to be closed to preclude discharge of the liquid flavoring additive, and to remove the pressure on the diaphragm, such as by venting it to air, when it is desired to permit discharge of the liquid flavoring.
