A communication control method is used in a cellular communication system. The communication control method includes receiving, by a communication apparatus, from a relay node, a failure occurrence notification indicating occurrence of a failure in a backhaul link between the relay node and a parent node of the relay node, and starting, by the communication apparatus, a timer defining a time to wait for recovery from the failure in response to receiving the failure occurrence notification.

A communication control method is a method executed by a user equipment. The communication control method includes transmitting, to a network, a failure report related to a failure in a procedure related to RRC connection executed by the user equipment when the user equipment exists in enhanced coverage of a serving cell. The failure report includes enhancement state information indicating a coverage enhancement state of the user equipment in the enhanced coverage, and failure count information associated with the enhancement state information. The failure count information indicates the number of times the user equipment fails in the procedure in the coverage enhancement state.

A handover control method for performing a conditional handover of a user equipment from a source cell to a target cell, the source cell to which the user equipment connects. The handover control method comprises transmitting, by a source base station which manages the source cell to the user equipment, a RRC message including a list of candidate cells which are candidates for the target cell and a handover condition specified for each of the candidate cells in the list; and starting, by the source base station, transfer of a copy of downlink data of the user equipment to a candidate base station which manages the candidate cell in the list before the user equipment performs the handover.

Cast type transmission management during handovers for sidelink communication

A base station assigns a first set of device-to-device (D2D) communication resources to a first D2D group and assigns a second set of D2D communication resources to a second D2D group. The D2D communication resources of the first set are different from the D2D communication resources of the second set. The first set of D2D communication resources and the second set of D2D communication resources are subsets of reserved D2D communication resources which are a subset of defined uplink communication resources defined by a communication specification for uplink communication between the D2D UE devices and a base station where the reserved D2D communication resources not used for uplink transmission to the base station.
