According to the invention, a method for automatically processing an incoming payment for a payee with an online money transfer system. In one step, information is received at the online money transfer system. That information relates to processing of one or more received payments associated with the payee. At some point, the incoming payment associated with the payee is received. A default repository for the incoming payment is determined. It is determined whether to transfer at least some of the incoming payment away from the default repository or escrow at least a portion of the incoming payment for benefit of at least one predetermined party. Either the earmark or the escrow is applied after this determination.

Stored value payouts

According to the invention, a method for automatically transferring an incoming payment to a handler is disclosed. In one step, the incoming payment associated with a payee is received. A first predetermined rule that applies to the incoming payment is determined. The first predetermined rule is applied to the incoming payment. It is determined if a second predetermined rule applies to the incoming payment. The second predetermined rule is applied to the incoming payment based upon the second-listed determining step.

Automated transfer with stored value

A system for screening money transfers. According to one embodiment of the invention an operator is provided with at least one prompt to request further information about an attempted money transfer. The operator can be prompted with a series of questions to facilitate a regimented screening process of suspicious transfers.

Method and apparatus for screening financial transactions

According to the invention, a method for creating an electronic greeting card that references a gift is disclosed. In one step, a selection of the electronic greeting card is received from a sender of that greeting card. Identification of the gift is received. A code indicative of the gift is created, whereby the code facilitates retrieving information about the gift. The code is embedded in the electronic greeting card.

Electronic gift linking

A method for requesting one or more machines to be maintained includes monitoring the machine or machines and detecting when a failure of at least one machine occurs. The method further includes executing a computer program on an electronic terminal associated with the failed machine. The method further includes entering data relating to the condition of the failed machine into the computer program via the electronic terminal and transmitting the data to a database server, thereby initiating a process to alter the condition of the failed machine. In one embodiment of the method, the database server compiles historical data relating to the condition of the one or more machines. The historical information may be used in a predictive maintenance environment to further minimize downtime.

Maintenance request systems and methods

A method for electronically transferring an amount of money from an initiator to a receiver is disclosed. The amount is enhanced or matched by a matching party. In one step, transfer information is received from the initiator. The transfer information includes at least two of a third party identifier, a second party identifier and the amount. The transfer information is analyzed. An enhancing amount to transfer from the matching party to the receiver is determined. Money is transferred to the receiver that corresponds to the amount and the enhancing amount.

Gift matching method

A card destruction system includes a reader to read identification information from a card. A controller is coupled to the reader to receive the identification information and to determine whether the card is to be destroyed. A delivery sensor is coupled to the controller to sense when the aid is delivered to a card destruction device. The controller is also configured to produce a record of the destruction based on a signal from the sensor.
