A container for use with a closure is provided, and includes a receptacle, a neck extending therefrom, a closure-engaging thread segment arranged on the neck of the container to engage the closure thread segment arranged on the closure, and a plurality of spaced apart protrusions protruding radially toward the closure from the neck of the container, the plurality of spaced apart protrusions forming a protrusion pattern that has a composite orientation that is helically opposite that of the closure-engaging thread segment to engage and to separate the frangible tamper-evident band portion from the closure when the closure is rotated off of the neck. With this structure, the closure and container system provides an improved anti-backoff, tamper evident closure and container system that reduces torque used to initially apply the closure to the container and improves reliably by reducing stress on the component parts, while desirably preventing backoff from occurring.

Low application torque, tamper evident plastic closure and container system with enhanced visual tamper evidency

A medicine container includes a child-resistant closure with a tamper-evident feature. The closure includes a plug adapted to be fixed to the container adjacent the open end. The plug has an access opening for enabling removal of material from the container through the open end of the container. A slide is supported on the plug for sliding movement in a first direction relative to the plug between a closed position in which the slide covers the access opening and an open position in which the access opening is uncovered. A child-resistant feature is interposed between the plug and the slide. The closure also includes a tamper-evident feature that permanently indicates breaking of the original seal of the container. The container may have a rectangular configuration including at least one surface large enough for a mailing address label; and a sealable window mailer envelope for receiving the medicine container.

Child resistant dispensing closure package

A closure adapted for use with a product dispensing container is provided. The closure includes a closing lid moveable between a first position and a second position relative to the product dispensing container. The closing lid has projections engageable with the product dispensing container to substantially fix the closing lid in the second position via continuous engagement therebetween. The closure may include a tamper indicating portion that includes a removable tearband. The closure can have a retention collar for securing the closure to the product dispensing container. A hinge may connect the retention collar with the closing lid. The hinge can elastically connect the retention collar to the closing lid such that the hinge resiliently biases the closing lid towards the first position. The projections may flexibly extend from the closing lid and are deflectable upon engagement with the product dispensing container. The product dispensing container can have an open end including a neck portion defining at least one bead disposed about at least a portion thereof. Beads may be disposed about a circumference of the neck portion and include a top bead and a middle bead, the projections being disposable between the top bead and the middle bead to substantially fix the closing lid in the second position. In the first position, the closing lid can form a substantial seal with the product dispensing container.

Product dispensing closure with lid support

A container is provided which includes a top portion having an opening and a side wall extending from the top portion to an end portion of the side wall. A bottom portion is connected with the end portion of the side wall such that the top portion, the side wall and the bottom portion define an interior space of the container. At least one groove is formed in the side wall. The at least one groove includes a central arc portion and end arc portions. The central arc portion is substantially concave relative to a longitudinal axis of the container. The end arc portions are substantially convex relative to the longitudinal axis of the container. The end arc portions are formed adjacent ends of the central arc portion and communicate with an outer surface of the side wall. Desirably, the at least one groove includes a plurality of grooves. The plurality of grooves may be disposed within the rows in an interrupted configuration such that at least a portion of the outer surface is disposed between the plurality of grooves. The central arc portion and the end arc portion may be cooperatively formed to create a load stress path communicating with the outer surface of the side wall for a load applied to the container. In an alternative embodiment, the at least one groove defines a cross-sectional configuration having groove walls extending inward from the outer surface to a groove floor. The groove walls are oriented at a wall angle measured from the outer surface.

A product dispensing system is provided which includes a container having an open end including a neck portion. The neck portion defines an opening. A fitment is configured for mounting with the opening of the neck portion and forming a substantial seal therewith. The fitment defines an orifice. A closure is integrally connected to the fitment and mounted to the open end of the container. The closure includes a closing lid that is flexibly attached thereto. The closing lid includes an orifice plug configured to engage the orifice of the fitment and form a substantial seal therewith. The closure may engage a cavity of the fitment for integral connection therewith. The product dispensing system may include a tamper evident portion.

A tamper evident closure for containers having finish a with thread means and a radially outwardly circumferentially extending bead below the threads comprising, a cap portion of cup-like form having internal threads for cooperatively engaging the threads on a container to apply and remove the cap portion, a retainer ring depending from the lower edge of the skirt portion of the cap and connected thereto by a series of circumferentially spaced bridge connections, and a tamper evident band having means for rotatably mount on the retaining ring and rotatable thereto and including a series of spring fingers for engaging under the retainer bead on the container when the closure is fully seated.

Tamper-evident plastic closure system with snap-on band

A dispenser is provided which includes a container having a closed end that defines an orifice. A closure is mountable about the closed end and has a closing lid portion which includes an orifice plug configured to sealingly engage the orifice. The closure includes a retention collar moveably connected and disposed about an outer surface of the container to facilitate mounting. The closing lid portion is moveably connected to the retention collar. The closure further includes a tamper evident portion that removably connects the closing lid portion and the retention collar to provide a first visual indication. The tamper evident portion is removable to provide a second visual indication. The closed end of the container may have a pair of support posts extending therefrom configured to engage a surface of the closure.

A threaded closure is provided with a snap-fit ring. A snap-fit tamper-evident band with three concentric portions is provided such that the first portion engages the closure's snap-fit ring and is removed from the rest of the band when the closure is rotated off of the container neck. A second portion includes tabs for engaging, e.g., an annular ring on a container neck. A third portion remains on the container neck when the first portion and the cap are rotated off. A number of frangible posts are also provided for connecting the first portion to the second and third portions.

Snap-band tamper evident

A container for use with tamper-evident closures, or tamper-evident child-resistant closures, having tamper-evident bands is provided. The container has threads for engaging corresponding threads on the tamper-evident closure. The container further has ramps for engaging tamper-evident elements on the tamper-evident band of the tamper-evident closure. The ramps hold the tamper-evident elements down while the closure is being rotated off of the container. Furthermore, the slant of the ramps actually serves to force the tamper-evident elements downward while the closure is rotated off. This greatly enhances the ease of removal of the tamper-evident closure, thus making the closure far easier to use, without sacrificing the important tamper-evident quality. Furthermore, the accelerated separation of the band from the closure enhances the tamper evidency features of the package by causing band separation upon distortion, before the closure/bottle seal is broken.
