ICF tooling facilitating the manufacturing of ICF blocks having different widths and different heights, the tie member including a variable width web portion positionable within a plurality of internal openings associated with a specially designed male tool, each internal opening being configured to receive folded web portions of varying length so that ICF blocks of different widths can be produced using the same male tool; each internal opening likewise includes a tie engaging feature for holding the respective tie members in their folded position within the male tool during the molding process; the internal openings enable foldable tie members of different widths to be used in the same male and female tools for producing ICF blocks in different widths in each individual separate male tool. ICF blocks of varying heights can be produced using the same female tool and a plurality of slightly modified height male tools.

Insulating concrete form (ICF) system with modular tie members and associated ICF tooling

A modular tie member which promotes flexibility in manufacturing ICF blocks of varying widths and heights, one embodiment including a pair of side wall bracket members each encapsulated within a respective panel member forming an ICF block and a web member pivotally attached to and extending between the side wall bracket members. Each bracket member may include an extension portion and/or another interlocking mechanism associated with each opposite end thereof positioned for overlapping and engaging similar members associated with similarly constructed tie members when one tie member is stackably arranged one on top of another tie member. The extension portions and/or the other interlocking mechanism extend into respective teeth associated with the horizontally opposed edges of the panel members for mating with the extension portions and/or the other interlocking mechanism of another tie member associated with a similarly constructed ICF block positioned in vertical arrangement thereto. In still another embodiment, the web member is a one-piece member which is slidably engageable with the pair of bracket members thereby allowing the ICF blocks to be field assembled at the construction site.

Insulating concrete form (ICF) system with tie member modularity

An insulation insert panel for use with an ICF block having a pair of opposed panel members and a plurality of tie members extending transversely therebetween, the insert panel including a plurality of spaced apart slots extending along the length thereof for mating with the tie members associated with the ICF block into which it is being inserted, each slot including at least one notch located in the vicinity of its terminal end portion for receiving at least one crossbar member associated with each tie member when the insert panel is fully positioned within the ICF block.

Insulation insert panel for use with insulating concrete form (ICF) systems

An anchor assembly for use in joining together a masonry wall structure and a supporting back wall structure wherein the back wall structure is preferably formed using insulated concrete form (ICF) blocks each having a pair of opposed ICF panels associated therewith, the anchor assembly including an anchor member and a tie member. The anchor member includes an anchor portion adapted to penetrate one of the ICF panels and having at least one opening associated therewith so as to lie between the opposed ICF panels when attached thereto for allowing poured concrete to flow therethrough, and an attachment portion having a tab member positioned and located to overlay an ICF panel flange member when the anchor member is inserted within the ICF panel, the tab member being attachable to the ICF panel flange member. The attachment portion further includes an elongated slot for receiving the tie member, the tie member being adjustably movable along the length of the slot so as to be positionable between the courses of brick or other masonry material associated with the masonry wall structure as the masonry wall structure is being erected.

Adjustable masonry anchor assembly for use with insulating concrete form systems

A corner bracket member for use in an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) corner block or other form assembly having a pair of opposed inner and outer spaced apart panels for receiving concrete therebetween, the corner bracket member including at least a pair of side members, each side member having at least a pair of spaced apart flange members adapted for receiving and anchoring exterior facade or other surfaces thereto, and at least one concrete engaging member positioned and located so as to extend in a direction completely across the space formed by and between the inner and outer panels associated with the ICF corner block. The side members and flange members of the corner bracket member are encapsulated within one of the inner and outer panels and the at least one concrete engaging member includes a terminal end portion which is encapsulated within the other of the inner and outer panels when attached thereto.

Corner tie bracket for use with insulated concrete form systems

A welded wire reinforcement is used in combination with insulated concrete form blocks having opposed panels joined by form ties. A method of construction forms building structures with insulated concert form blocks. The reinforcement member has a base bar and a plurality of arms extending downwardly from the base bar and is utilized to provide increased internal strength to a modular concrete wall system. The welded wire reinforcement provides vertical and horizontal support without requiring any extra time or material to connect a vertical reinforcement to the concrete forms of the wall system. An alternate embodiment of the reinforcement member includes a horizontal base bar, arms extending downward and perpendicular from the base bar, and a plurality of end pieces attached to the arms to form a discontinuous bottom bar. The base bar and bottom bar are slidably received in rebar chairs defined by the form ties. Another embodiment of the reinforcement member is utilized for reinforcing a modular concrete wall form with a ledge.

Welded wire reinforcement for modular concrete forms

A foam block concrete form including a pair of opposing foam panels spaced parallel from each other, a plurality of ties positioned transverse to and between the pair of opposed panels for holding the panels in spaced apart parallel relationship to each other, a single row of alternating teeth and sockets positioned and located along opposing horizontal longitudinal edges of each panel to enable the panels to be removably engaged with either opposed horizontal longitudinal edge of an adjacent vertically positioned panel having a substantially identical array of teeth and sockets formed along its opposed horizontal longitudinal edges, and a substantially flat planar surface located adjacent the single row of alternating teeth and sockets thereby providing a mechanism for facilitating the removal of water and other debris which may accumulate within the sockets or spaces formed between the teeth. The substantially flat surface may also be tapered to further facilitate the removal of water and other debris from within the alternating sockets.

Prefabricated foam block concrete forms with open tooth connection means

A foam block concrete form having a pair of opposing foam panels spaced parallel from each other, and retained in opposing fashion by a plurality of transverse ties therebetween. Each panel has opposing longitudinal edges having engaging means formed therealong for removably retaining a longitudinal edge having similar engaging means formed therealong when adjacent thereto. The plurality of substantially planar include a web portion separating a pair of opposing flange members encapsulated within respective opposing foam panels along a respective lateral axis.
