A cable re-entry assembly and method for feedthroughs and the like is provided. The preferred embodiment includes an expansion mandrel positionally secured on the conduit with a heat shrinkable locking ring, a transition boot with a heat shrinkable sleeve portion and a rigid body portion which couples to a feedthrough nut, and a sealant between the conduit and the sleeve. Upon re-entry and re-use of the assembly, the mandrel mechanically expands the sleeve, when the sleeve is re-heated above its crystalline transition temperature, the expansion mandrel is translated against the sleeve and both the conduit and expansion mandrel are withdrawn from the sleeve. Following repair, the conduit is reinserted into the dimensionally unstable sleeve which is then heated to shrink about and reseal the conduit.

Re-enterable conduit sealing assembly and method

A toilet seat return assembly including a deflector element for placement on the front of the toilet tank and a rotatable and pivotable arm attached to the flush handle adapted to rotate upon rotation of the flush handle and cam against the tank mounted deflector to pivot away from the tank front wall, contacting and pivoting the toilet seat to the closed position.

A strain relieving connector assembly featuring a circular backshell, a horse collar with a set of standoffs, a split ring clamp, and a heat shrinkable polymeric grommet which is heat shrinkable to radially compress onto the cable and coact with the split ring clamp to provide strain relief for the cable connector interface.

Re-enterable strain relief collar employing a heat recoverable member

Provided herein is a wraparound closure sleeve for environmentally sealing conduits employing a heat-recoverable sheet oriented to shrink in the direction of its width, a first strip of self-amalgamating material disposed along or near one edge of the sheet and perpendicular to the direction of orientation, a mastic or hot-melt adhesive coated on the remaining surface area of the sheet, a second self amalgamating strip disposed parallel to the first strip on the opposite surface of the sheet where wrapping the sheet around the conduit, juxtaposing the strips and pressing them together forms a lap bond having sufficient lap shear strength to resist the hoop stress force generated by shrinking of the oriented sheet around the conduit and the mastic/adhesive is pressed and flows between the conduit and sheet.

Wraparound closure for conduit protection

A flat multi-conductor power cable is disclosed which includes a plurality of generally parallel, spaced apart, flat conductors which are surrounded by two layers of insulation material. An internal layer is extruded around each of the flat conductors and is intimately bonded to each conductor. A single external layer is extruded around all of the internal layers and is intimately joined to all of the internal layers. Preferably, the external layer comprises a thermoplastic elastomer and the internal layer comprises a polyolefinic ionomer. A method and apparatus for making such a flat multi-conductor power cable is also disclosed.
