A navigation system, apparatus and method utilizing a processor and a sensor, operatively coupled to the processor to determine a location of the navigation system. An input is configured to receive destination data, specifying a destination, and point-of-interest (POI) data from a user, wherein the processor is configured to process the destination data and the POI data to determine a plurality of POIs that are in closest proximity to the destination and clustering the POIs for presentation on a navigational map. The processor may be further configured to generate a route from the location of the navigation system, the destination and at least one of the POIs in the navigational map based on at least one of speed and distance.

Apparatus, system and method for clustering points of interest in a navigation system

A navigation system, apparatus and method utilizing a processor and a sensor, operatively coupled to the processor to determine a location of the navigation system. A navigation input module is configured to receive destination data specifying a destination and a plurality of point-of-interest (POI) data from a user, where the navigation input module is further configured to receive a POI search area value defining an area of search for the POI data from potential route segments. The processor may utilize the POI search area value to search a plurality of areas along the potential route segments to identify at least some of the plurality of POI data that are in closest proximity to the destination, and wherein the processor may be further configured to cluster the identified POI data for simultaneous presentation on a navigational map.

An indicator apparatus for providing a status indicator to visibly indicate state of charge information of an electric vehicle is disclosed. The indicator apparatus may be an indicator plate including a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and an indicator positioned between the first and second ends. The indicator may provide an indication of a status of a battery of the electric vehicle by illuminating a portion of the indicator plate based on status information of the battery. The indicator apparatus may further comprise a power port coupled to the electric vehicle for receiving power from the electric vehicle to the illuminated portion of the indicator plate. The illuminated portion may be illuminated based on vehicle diagnostic data received from the electric vehicle and may be visible from outside the electric vehicle.

A wireless vehicle charging system includes a charging station and an electric or hybrid passenger vehicle. The charging station is configured to wirelessly provide power to the passenger vehicle when the passenger vehicle is properly positioned in the charging station. The wireless vehicle charging system also includes a positioning system configured to guide the passenger vehicle into the charging station so that the passenger vehicle is properly positioned in the charging station to receive power from the charging station.

A driver assistance system is configured to display on a vehicle display an image of corresponding surroundings of a vehicle, having at least one image capturing camera; a viewpoint converter to generate a viewpoint converted image having a point of view looking downwardly from above the vehicle; at least one sensor configured to detect a distance or a partial shape of at least one object in surroundings of the vehicle; an image processor configured to modify the viewpoint converted image based on the detected distance or the partial shape of the at least one object looking from the vehicle to the at least one object, wherein the modification of the viewpoint converted image includes enhancing the three dimensional appearance of the at least one object in the viewpoint converted image.
