A vehicle console includes a base, a housing supported on the base, the housing comprising a first storage compartment for storing at least one electronic media device and an access opening, and at least one power port provided in the first storage compartment for supplying power to the at least one electronic media device. The vehicle console also includes at least one data communication port provided in the first storage compartment for communicating with a vehicle device to share control of the at least one electronic media device, and a lid provided on the housing for covering the access opening of the storage compartment in a closed lid position.
