The present invention relates to an optical flow cell for a measuring device, having an input light guide with a light exit surface, an output light guide with a light entrance surface, said input light guide and output light guide being integrated with a holder to form an optical flow cell, and wherein the holder extends along a first axis and has a through hole for receiving a flow of a sample fluid, said through hole being transversal to said first axis, and the input light guide and output light guide further are arranged in said holder so that the light exit surface and the light entrance surface extend into said through hole and are arranged to be in optical alignment with each other and at a first distance from each other. The invention also relates to a measuring device having at least one optical flow cell.

Optical flow cell for an optical measuring device

An apparatus is for moving a sample holder on a platform from a loading position where the sample holder can be removed from the platform to a locked position where the sample holder is securely held. The sample holder is configured to rest on wheels within a recessed portion on the platform. The apparatus is configured such that: (i) movement of the platform from the loading position to the locked position causes a vertical clamp to lower down on top of the sample holder, and a horizontal clamp to be pressed to an outer periphery of the sample holder; and (ii) movement of the platform from the locked position to the loading position causes the vertical clamp to rise above the sample holder, and the horizontal clamp to be moved away from the outer periphery of the sample holder.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a device for holding a light guide, for use in a flow cell, with the steps of providing a light guide holder having a first end and a second end connected by a longitudinal through hole with a narrow portion at the first end having a first diameter and a wide portion at the second end having a second diameter, the first diameter being smaller than the second diameter, and the narrow portion and wide portion being connected by a tapering portion, inserting a light guide into the through hole so that a first end of the light guide extends from the first end to the second end of the light guide holder, inserting a substance into at least part of the wide portion of the through hole, Inserting a tube between the light guide and the light guide holder, and fix the light guide in relation to the holder by means of the substance.
